like the bdc said in this am's edition, how long until he gets booted out for being too "enthusiastic"? heh.

more seriously, i am intrigued to see how this works --- i feel good about him calling plays (well, as good as i can feel about a first time oc), but he's just so damned good on the sidelines...

should be fun...

I was initially concerned that this thread would violate site rules.

from a playcalling perspective yes, too bad his emotion wont be on the sideline

If college players have audio in the helmet that emotion will be inside tyler's head from game one, if they dont then every coach on the field will be getting a dose of it through their headsets.

He'll get a good look at things from there. Good for his first gig. Luckily there's no box in practice so he can coach them up with plenty of fire there.

Getting up in the booth is important for EB at this point in his career. He needs to punch that coordinator card for his own career development.

EB's fire is there on the practice field and in the meeting rooms. Speedy and Tyler don't need EB ranting on the sidelines because his voice is probably already echoing around their heads. They know he'll be in the film room to encourage them.

Frankly, with the staff that is assembled, there will be more fire on the sidelines, even with EB in the booth.

If the booth experience doesn't put the Buffs in a position to win, and his services are needed on the sidelines, then that option will always be open. Marshall or Scherer could always get called upstairs.

it's true there no box in practice,

Wally (working hard and earning the innuendos this AM, and whatever time it is in his place).
