Over from Buffscoop, which has been doing good write ups of practice (like slider and friends) and in general have been all over this. Here is a snippet that caught my eye.

Reporter: What have been your impressions of Juda specifically?

JE: Juda is a guy that has one speed. And it's a good speed. We've got some guys that have one speed and it's not good. He's on the good side of the ledger. So he's got one speed, he's smart, he's got good football instincts. Sometimes he doesn't do things quite right but he works his way out of it during the play. I just love his motor and his pad level, his intensity. Him, Paulay Asiata and Nembot have had some battles where we had to make sure it stayed here on the field. And that's good. I've told these guys, you're going to be going against each other for the next four or five years so get used to it. So I like the fact that they're very competitive, very intense, none of them like to lose the three of them. They take it personal when they lose and that's good.

Reporter: I would have thought Parker and Asiata would have been sick of hitting each other?

JE: I don't know, that'll go on for a while. Hopefully that'll go on to Sundays. They definitely get after each other.

From a guy who has played and coached in the NFL, that is high praise to say they have that potential. And not accidental. Looks like our "filler" class won't be a waste. Coaches don't say that without there being a good reason for it. Also, it is no surprise to me that Parker and Asiata play angry (also good to see Nembot mentioned). Hawaii boys are... different. :smile2:

Cannot overplay the significance of getting Asiata into school. Has multi-year starter written all over him.

Any one who faces up Nembot has my respect. Can't wait to see a practice this week and a scrimmage on Saturday.

Easy, Snow. Asiata I'll give you, but remember, Juda's different as a transplanted haole. He's MILITARY baby! He obviously picked up the warrior spirit in the 50th state, but he's not native - let's give military brats some props here.

Hawaii kids are made, not born. :smile2:

Yeah. But so far my impression has been Hawaii boys get hammered and pass out in the stands. So.....where are you going with this?

Obviously it has nothing to do with where you're born.

For instance you were born in Hawaii, I think, and you're a giant pussy.

Helicopter pilots talking smack. Yawn. That's pretty much the same thing as lamb fans talking **** before the rms.

Do really think so, or are you just grasping at straws? It really seems like straws.

anyone who got as many days snowboarding in as snowbuff is not a pussy. Lightweight yes, pussy no.

Stop talking about your penis. And slider, There are many things you could have called me on that day, but light weight was not one of them.
