Currently 5th on CU's all time rushing list with 2744 total yards.

He needs 1196 yards rushing in his senior season to pass his coach EB as CU's all time leading rusher. Does he accomplish this?

Dude. Why would you even start a thread like this? Truthfully, I feel guilty for even opening. I'm just gonna back away, I'm not gonna vote and I won't come back....

I love watching Speedy. We signed a 5 star RB in the 2008 class, but the real 5 star RB out of that class is still with us and doing what we expected from the fake 5 star.

Whats even more impressive is Speedy doesn't have any bowl games in his yards while EB had 3 bowls.

I love me some Speedy but his yards are hollow compeared to EB's. EB on biggest stages and under the brightest lights. Everyone knew "The Enemy" and was a Heisman finalist, nobody knows who Stewart is, though I hope he changes that this season by leading the nation in rushing.

Oh don't get me wrong, I grew up watching EB, and I agree that EB was a beast and was def a better back. I am just impressed by Speedys numbers of being coached by Hawk for 3 years and no post season play is all I'm saying. No real knock on EB.

EB and Speedy have probably played the same amount of games though, maybe Speedy has a slight edge. The season used to be 11 weeks and now it's 12, unless you play @Hawaii and/or conference games.

Did Speedy play in the Indy Bowl or was that the year he was injured?

Indy Bowl was the year before Speedy came to CU

Hugh Charles was the #1 back in 07 and the Indy Bowl, no? Speedy, Darrell Scott, and Polk were in the subsequent recruiting class, i think.

Ah, you guys are right. HC went for over 1k yards in the bowl game, he was just short during the season.

Gosh has it been that long since we've been to a bowl game?

And Speedy was hurt, but I don't think he got a Medical RS so probably has played less than EB up to this point.

I'm kind of offended by this statement. EB may have been in bigger games, but he also had a ridiculous supporting cast and insanely better coaching. Speedy just goes out there and simply kicks ass. I think he is so underrated it is crazy. I'd be comfortable saying I think he maybe even a better back...at least he hasn't had some of the dumbest fumbles I've ever seen like EB did.

Speedy is a good back but his numbers were inflated a little bit by him rushing 30 times a game. His ypc isn't that spectacular
