i don't think ATM to the SEC is good for us

to me, increases the likelihood of some UT/Tech/OU/OSU to the Pac move. we don't want that.

i think best for us is the status quo, Pac 12.

pissing in the wind (along with the rest of you reprobates in my yard), but i don't like this.

it's kind of fun to see ATM bail on the Big Tex....but i don't like what i think the next step will be.

I still think in the end A&M will stay in the Big 12. Something will happen to derail this. '

And I'm wondering if the SEC really wants A&M on its own? I think they'd like OU with them and I don't see OU going to the SEC.

Be grateful that we are not ISU, KSU, or ****ing Baylor

what's new about that? hehe.

i kinda like ISU....it's not a bad school and they do suck but they good hoops fans and aren't real bitter about being #2 in their state.

Baylor can suck it. a decent school, but nowhere near Nwestern, Duke, Vandy like they expect you to think.

:yeahthat:

If this happens, I'm going to be rooting very hard for somebody to be stupid enough to jump into the Mack-10. I'll feel sorry for them having to deal with UT, but better them than us...

Wonder if the rammies are getting all excited and putting their name out there.. as seeing that they would give the Denver market "back" to BigXII footprint.

That and that, that-it-ty that that.

While I feel like it is a much greater possibility that the PAC-12 might soon be the PAC-16, I could not be happier to be watching this situation with our spot in the conference already secure. It would just suck to be a K-State or Iowa State fan right now.

Unfortunately for some, Larry Scott is on board the super conference train

Good. Evolve or get left in the dust, Larry Scott understands this. I hate the thought of sharing a conference with UT again, but I would hate even more if the SEC added UT, OU, A&M, and FSU - that would an athletic, and revenue juggernaut.

**** going to 16 right now. The thought of Texas, not to mention Texas Tech and Okie Light in the Pac makes me want to puke. 16 might be the way things are going, but to force it a year after going to 12 by bringing Okie Light and Texas Tech (you can try and rationalize it, but both schools are academic and athletic pieces of ****) along would be beyond disappointing.

I'm still not convinced this is going to happen, however. If aTm goes, I think it's likely the SEC goes to 14 with FSU instead of 16. I also think that the Big12-3 might be able to stay together and add a school or three, as I don't think Texas particularly wants to go anywhere.

OU doesn't want to go to the SEC for academic reasons and because OU and OSU are a tight partnership on the administrative level. OU either wants the Pac-16 or to stay with UT in the Big 12. OSU has no ride of its own and will be hooked to OU's destination.

FSU is highly unlikely for number 14. Gators provide the footprint in FL already...add animosity from FSU not accepting the SEC bid the first time. SEC will want a move for 14 to increase their footprint, VA Tech / Maryland and in a wet dream NC / Duke. If the gate opens for the major football conferences to reach 16, FSU could become an option as the scramble would be on in full force.
