New students who know nothing of CU's tradition, think we are a ****** football school, and think its funny to make jokes about it. Heard a kid today "Ya bro im getting football tickets but im just gonna get super ****ed up cause were gonna loose every game anyway." Go back to California you ****in retard or get educated, And leave your Buffs snapback on at home along with your pooka shell necklace if your not gonna be a fan of the team. God damn that **** makes me mad.

On a side note i sat next to Paulay Asiata in a registration meeting today and he was really nice. And pretty funny too. Said he was super exited to be going home for his first game as a Buff and that the coaches are loving his aggressiveness.

They need to do an athletic seminar for new/transfer students like many other schools do.

He's still buying tickets, isn't he? Once we start winning again he'll change his tune.

At least the kid is buying tickets....can't learn about our traditions if you never go, which many students choose to do

That would be nice. I ve been sitting through that boring ass transfer orientation for two days now. I would pay money to see some Buffs football highlights during that thing.

I attended CU from 89 to 92, arguably the best football years ever. I got super ****ed up and went to games. I'm not seeing the problem here.

Did you go to the games to watch while ****ed up or did you just use them as an excuse to get ****ed up?

Having been a student more recently than most, it's pretty bad on campus. There is a widespread perception that we've always sucked, and it's more common than we'd like to admit

To be fair, for a new freshman, when CU was the best team in the Big 12 North they were busy wondering why hair was growing where there wasn't hair before.

Doesn't mean they can't be educated at a orientation seminar or educate themselves before going to school.

I can't blame him for saying that... our record pretty much agrees with him. But pretty psyched to actually get cheap student tix. UBL, where are you transferring from?

Meh. If you are looking for a passionate, informed student fanbase, you are going to the wrong school.

My Freshman year was 1985, and nobody in the dorms seemed to even realize there was a game when I was heading to the season opener. It changes in a hurry. We started 3-0 that year, ended up at 7-4, and earned a trip to the Freedom Bowl. The difference in student support from the first game to the last was strikingly different.

The worst are the kids who walk around campus in Oregon ****. A new trend that started this mostly last year

Unfortunately I had the honor of starting out with packed stadiums for FSU and OU as a freshman, watching things fall apart after the WVU game as a sophomore, to people wearing powder blue as a junior (hey at least we beat aTm that game), to emptiness and complete apathy as a senior.

CU-Denver... Thought I wanted to get out of Boulder for a few years. Wrong I was. But i still had a good time, just not the College atmosphere.
