L.A. Times hack job

he could have at least used the google to see that the cal game wasnt or first pac-12 game.

He didn't say anything that wasn't true. We have sucked on the road and don't offer much now, except more eyeballs for the Pac12 TV network. I doubt we finish last or first in the Pac12 South, and I also doubt we are along the same lines as Wulff and Wazzou. Long term we have a lot to offer the conference. Hopefully our mens BB this past year wasn't a fluke too.

Win and you can shut the naysayers up. For right now, there is bulletin board material for the team.

"One program is disheveled, walks with a limp and wears its shirt tail out — the other is Utah."

"One is a model of efficiency, efficacy and proficiency — and the other is Colorado."

The author says some nice things about the long term history of the program but I thought some of the things he said about the current program were unfair but if yall are ok with it and think its the truth then cool.... just thought you guys might be interested

Hmm. We had Hawk at the helm for the past 5 years and he lost 18 road games including a devastating loss @KU where we had a 4th Q lead of 28 points. We lost to Montana St in his opener. He talked about MNCs when he first got here, and by the end was talking about APRs, being good people and whatnot and mentioning some zen-like crap. Our administration signed him to an extension after a OK win over WVU and failed to fire him after we knew he was going to be a lame duck in his 5th year because of political issues.

Yeah, we really had our act together the past 5 years.

 what part of us being bent over a barrel under dan hawkins isnt true?

"Picked to finish last in its first year, Colorado couldn't dig any deeper into the Pac-12 South Division. Cooking instructions on the back of the box: "For best first-year results, combine flour, water and your roster with Washington State's."

Like what?

The article said we stink right now and haven't won a road game in 18 tries, but we have a rich history, a national title, a heisman winner, and an awesome mascot and might have more upside than Utah, but it could take a few years to get there.

That's exactly how most CU fans would characterize the program right now, so seemed pretty fair and accurate to me. What's the problem?

Well he said we have a rich tradition but failed to say anything about it except for a sentence on Mac and Salaam. Terrible article.

I guess reading it from an outsiders perspective it seemed like there were some cheap swipes at the program but hey if yall feel differently. thats cool. you would know better than me..

You're joking right? You do realize that most people outside Boulder think CU is complete garbage right now, right? I actually thought the article threw us a couple bones - more upside in 5 years than Utah, I hope he's right but CU has given no one any reason to believe we'll be great again. If this is the worst CU article out there, we're lucky.

Fair article, and until cu starts winning the perception will remain. Problem is, you negative nancies don't expect much winning the next 2 years. Come join the positive train. Nothing but good beer and good vibes.

Most "sports journalists" report what has happened over the past few years...

CU has tradition, Utah does not. History backs it up.

Take it with a grain of salt (unless you're a teenager)...
