For no new reasons, but all of the old reasons.

Those stupid lying pricks. **** that second-rate school with a third rate athletic department in that ****** little town. **** Buddy Jones and Kenneth Starr. **** those pricks for believing they attend a quality academic institution. **** those cockshits for initiating a smear campaign using fabrications. **** those little dickfaces for releasing our APRs prematurely and pretending like it meant something in order to further their own agendas. **** their cheating basketball problem. **** their little half-empty football stadium.

**** Baylor.

One week from now they will probably go back to being insignificant.

UT's bitches are significant because...they are UT's bitches.

This thread mostly makes me want to say **** you Dan Hawkins!

don't forget the "bloodbath trilogy" bye week that led to CU being stopped on the goaline with Brian Calhoun and BU going the length of the field for the winning score. of all the things one might hold a grudge against Barney (not many for me, but hey)....that still rankled me a bit.

BU grads are parodies of themselves. i had a grad school comrade in the MA program from BU. he always said "when i was at Baylor"....as though it were more than just a place, some kind of existential condition. i always expected he was right, but not in the sense he imagined. doofus. he also used to brag about one of his buddies who was getting all three of his degrees (BA, MA, PhD) from BU....that makes look like a provincial rube on the academic job market...like you couldn't get in anywhere else and your local profs took care of you.

Is that the norm, today? (to get your degrees from multiple universities)

My dad got his Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD all from CU. He always wondered if the fact he went straight through at one school hurt him or helped him.

much less common than it used to be. in the sciences it's still done some but in social sciences or humanities it's not looked on as being a good idea. in most cases, you aren't going to be hired by your PhD granting institution. and if you've never been anywhere else, it hurts the strength of your dossier. for me, i might have been served better to have gone somewhere else for either the MA or PhD, because after 5-7 years of the same grad profs....they run out of new stuff to say. if i could do it again, i might have gone someplace else for the MA and then CU for the end. no complaints, though. my other choices were places i didn't want to live (LA (USC), Champain, ILL, Happy Valley PA). in things like physics, i don't think it matters as much since you have prolonged research projects and such so there is some underlying logic to why you might do it.

Dad's degrees are in social sciences. :)

still it was kindof cool to go to college and have some of the same professors who were there when my dad was getting his PhD and stuff.

it was a lot more common in the past. the baby boomer generation sort of re-wrote the rules with the expansion of education in the 60's and 70's.

edit: and people didn't move around as much. the world was less "shrunken" by communications and transportation options. distances and localities mattered.

Thanks for the stroll down memory lane. I thought alcohol abuse had sufficiently killed that memory long ago. The failings of the Barnett era no longer exist in my mind thanks to Danny Boy.

**** Baylor.

That's tough, but fair.

When abs posted on BaylorFAP.com, they gave him a hard time for trolling.
Abs...a troll? LOL.

Anywho, Baylor's response to this thread would be:
Why do you Colorado guys with the P12 invite care about Baylor? Go back to your Bong.

This is a legit response IMO. Those secular hypocrites are in the rearview mirror.
God Bless 'em!

i shudder to think who the coach of that Baylor team was.....Kevin Steele or some other genius?

Baylor fan just might be more delusional tha goat fan...hard to believe, but when you are seriously convinced there is even a minute chance ND will line up to lick Bevo's bung in the B12, you are pretty out there. Memo to BU fan, just because you have no options and have to service Bevo, doesn't mean everyone else does too.

I tried to post in that thread, and they never even authorized a single post. Fascist ****s

Here is what will happen: BU will muddle around at their high water mark of 4-6 wins per year. RGIII (BU knows lightening struck here) will graduate, AB will leave immediately for the first greener pasture that presents itself, and BU will return to their rightful throne in the cellar of the B12.

Hold on just a darn minute...I'm confused. A minute ago you said your Dad attended CU, and now you're saying he went to OU?

The goat fans thought that teams like ND would be lining up to play them at Invesco. Hard to beat that kind of delusion. Must have something to do with the green and gold uniforms.

 You troll! Those sensitive bastards are quick on the Ban trigger, probably IP based.

Baylor cranks out two things. Texas judges and Baptist ministers.

If you are not one of their own, you are guilty and/or damned.

BaylorFAP.com is just following a time honored tradition. It's in their dogmatic blood.

Now back to my bong.

And my first post was pretty tame too.... well, except for the part where I talked about how we were enjoying the hindenberg going down from Larry Scott's yacht while rolling in tubs of cash because BU engaged in a deceitful smear campaign against CU... (almost a direct quote).

What's amazing (to me) is that Baylor won the SWC in 1994, and went to 3 bowls from 1990-1994. They were a pretty good team under Grant Teaff in the 1970's and 1980's. Then they joined the Big 12 and have had exactly ONE (1) winning season. I'm not sure why Baylor would want to stay in the Big 12 - other than the tremendous wad of cash they get from the conference TV deal.

They have banned me despite the fact none of my posts were insulting or obnoxious. Apparently they dont like being told that they are delusional, regardless of the truth of the matter.
