We're one week from the Hawaii game. After hearing from Coach Embree yesterday at the Kickoff Luncheon, my confidence in this team is way up.

So, how are you taking your Kool-Aid these days?

I am mixed, I have no doubt we will be a better football team this year, much more disciplined, better organized, better prepared. At the same time I worry about the brutal schedule, the lack of speed at some positions, the lack of depth overall, and the difficulty in turning around an attitude of accepting/expecting to lose that was ingrained over the past 4 3/4 seasons.

I have to thank Cabral for doing what it took to get this team two wins last year and have them in position to win the other one after he took over. That alone will go a long way in giving the players the belief that they can go out and win games.

The Hawaii game is going to be huge. Win it and the players have reason to believe, especially since it is a road game. Get some confidence and we have a legit shot of going 3-1 (or better) in the OOC. Lose Hawaii and this year turns into a struggle, especially with no bye weeks.

Still think the season is going to be painful, but so happy that DII was finally kicked to the curb.

I'm slightly optimistic for the future of our Buffs, but I've learned to control my excitement about our team. I love them as much as ever, but I've been burned too many times to buy into the hype until I see some success on the field.

Something Embo said yesterday made me think about what was lacking most of the last five years. He said success was dependent on the staff's ability to gain the trust of the players. They have certainly gained my trust for now.

I voted for the moderation option, but my motto in college was 'moderation is for monks' and I can easily revert to that again.

I thought we should have won 8 games last year, that being said, this team is more disciplined, unified and talented sans 1 maybe 2 positions. I'm incredibly excited for Sept 3! Go BUFFS!

I wanna believe. Talk is cheap. I need to see it on the field first.

2002-2010 did wonders for curing my taste for koolaid.

It's absolutely going to be an epic season for tailgating, though.

The only year in the last 20 that I haven't drank the kool-aid was last year. I'm pumped. If we're lucky with injuries we could do something really special this year. We would have won 8 or 9 games last year with halfway competent special teams and play calling.

All the Kool-Aid I've been drinking has lead me to believe we are going to smack the **** out of Hawaii. For me, the Cal game will be the measure.

i've bought the kool-aid but it's still in the pantry. haven't added the sugar or water. i have a nagging feeling about Hawaii i can't shake....

"show me".

I'm cautiously optimistic. It's Embree and Bohn's job to get us all worked up and excited about the upcoming season. They've done that. So much hinges on the UH game. They're putting all their eggs into that basket. Lose that game, and the season is shot, IMO. We'll be lucky to win 2 games if we lose to UH. Beat UH, and I think this team could come out and win 7 games and get to a bowl. It's that important.

Long story short - ask the question again after the UH game.

I think they win atleast 5
All I really want is to be competitive every week, good game plans, players are 100% prepared. No more stupid penalties,no going for 2 just cause, not accepting failure,if someone isn't putting out replace them. Its a brutal schedule, especially with no bye week, our depth will surely be tested.Win or lose leave it all on the field.

No. closer I get to the uh game, the more terrified i get that we are gonna lose it.

I'm going to hold steady in predicting 5 wins, but with a good showing at Hawaii I could see my views of the season getting out of control.

Oh, and we're ONE WEEK from gameday and only FIVE DAYS from the start of the cfb season!!

Everything in moderation...including moderation. I have a bad feeling we lose by 2 TDs at UH but I tend to be a glass half empty guy.

Has any FBS team ever played 15 games? I know many have played 14, will this year's Buffs be the first?

I want to see with my own eyes. I want toughness and intensity. I want the games to be close. I want to see a well-disciplined and unified team.

Show me. I want to see.

For now, I'm kinda thirsty.

I want to see some bad luck happen to the Buffs. Forced fumble, pick 6 on a tipped pass, etc. Then I want tos ee the team respond and kick the **** out of someone from that point on. When I see that, I will believe.

It is crazy storming outside... tis why I am back on AllBuffs full steam.....
