Ambitious but rubbish.

Could this guy be any more useless? I cant find the big-12 paper that claimed he was a big winner in everything last year but I'd love to see their response now.

Winners:
Dan Beebe. Before this week, Beebe was on the wrong side of the Commissioner Power Demarcation Line. (On the plus side: Mike Slive, Jim Delany, Larry Scott. On the minus side: Beebe, John Swofford, John Marinatto.) But then the Big 12 commish, with the help of many influential outsiders, managed to do what few people thought possible: He held his fracturing league together. Not sure many people thought he had it in him.

Losers:
Colorado. The Buffaloes relocated to a more fitting league, but at a high cost. The cash-strapped school must pay a hefty Big 12 exit penalty and will not have the hoped-for revenue bonanza of a Pac-16 membership to offset the expense.

Google his salary. you will be stunned.

For the lazy:
Here's what college football's other major conference commissioners made in 2009:
  • Jim Delany, Big Ten: $1.6 million
  • John Swofford, ACC, $1.1 million
  • Mike Slive, SEC, $1 million
  • Dan Beebe, Big 12, $997,000
The other two major conference commissioners were hired after the first half of 2009, but here's what they were paid for six months of compensation:
  • Larry Scott, Pac-10/12, $735,000
  • John Marinatto, Big East, $366,000

As per ESPN

A cool Million to bail water out of the Titanic with a teacup and look classy doing it. Not too shabby.

I think it´s funny how people routinely mix up the words Big 12/Texas/Dodds/Beebe these days.

Beebe is really clueless.

I give it a year before Larry Scott makes more than him, and actually earns his income. Hell, if they want to give him a raise and a contract extension now, no one would say anything.

Very satisfying. Rep.

So Pat Forde is as dumb as he and his fake tan look

Yup, he really has it in for the Buffs, huh? I wonder if his math skills have improved since that article... This piece of it is pretty funny in hindsight, too:
Winners:
Texas A&M. Your program hasn't won a bowl game in nine years and hasn't played in a BCS bowl since 1998. Your record the last five years is 31-31. You have completely abdicated the school's defensive heritage. And yet the Big 12 is willing to cut you in on the same Platinum Member perks afforded Texas and Oklahoma. Don't ask questions, just sign on the dotted line.
