So I'm thinking of skipping the CSU game and going camping

Math - how does it work?

Here's the deal. I love camping in the fall, but I also love watching my Buffs. I despise Pat's House of Extortion. The seats are expensive, they suck, and the stadium completely lacks any sense of atmosphere. The 11:30 kickoff sucks, too.

Since there are no bye weeks this year, I have to pick a weekend and miss a game if I want to go. This weekend is out (Ms. Rino is going somewhere with her mom). The 10th is out since that game is at Folsom and I don't miss home games no matter what. The 24th is out because my brother scored us free tickets to UFC 135. Oct 1 is out because it's another home game.

So that leaves Sep 17 (CSU), Oct 8 (Stanford) or Oct 15 (UW). I'm leaning towards the 17th.

Anyone agree or disagree? Which one would you pick and why? I prefer warmer weather camping to colder weather, so no dates past Oct 15 will be considered.

Disagree. If by some miracle the buffs pull out a win a la Oklahoma 2007 you'll have wished you were there. You're picking the right weekend.

To be clear, I'm not going to go to Stanford. I would watch the game on TV.

skip the game, **** invesco. And the longer you wait, the more likely you get ****ed by an early storm.

Sept. 24th....

The 24th is out because my brother scored us free tickets to UFC 135

The 24th was my original date to shoot for until I found out about the UFC tickets. Free tickets in a Pepsi Center suite to a UFC event don't come around every day. This is only the 2nd time the UFC has been in Denver, and the first for one of their big PPV events.

How about you camp close to a town where there will be a tv w/the Stanford game -
eat dinner, toss back a few and I think you will know by the mid-2nd if CU has a shot

That's a possibility, depending on when the game is played and if it is televised.

Rino I feel your pain. I want the bye week probably more than the buffs players do. I havent decided but if I do miss a game it will probably be the rams

If i've noticed one thing over the years, it's that Rino doesn't change his mind. Since he's already decided on missing the sheep game, this thread is merely attention-whoring.

Nah, I'm seriously considering Oct 8 or 15, I'm just worried we might get ****** weather in October. But I am tired of the game in Denver and I hate that ****ing stadium.

I'm a freaking novice attention whore compared to many around here.

You obviously don't hunt much. Camping is great in October unless you are a sissy city boy.

You didn't mention the suite. In that case, it's probably worth sticking around for...

From my neck of the woods. What you are considering is deemed "Blasphemy". You're a good Buff fan, do what you must.
