Not only does Kaumatule go to the same high school as 2011 Buff commit KT Tuumalo, he and his teammate (and Buff prospect) DeForest Buckner are getting press in Hawaii as the "Twin Towers".

At 6 feet 7 and 230 pounds, Buckner is a returning starter with a ferocity that belies his finesse on the basketball court. Kaumatule, at 6-8 and 240 pounds, has yet to play a down of varsity football, but he is also a force on the hardwood.

Is it even fair that these twin towers are so young, with so much upside?

I like our chances here. At the very least, I think we will get an official visit. Would not surprise me if he and DeForest Buckner visit several schools together.

I really want Luke and his partner in crime, but if we can only get one, I want Kaumatule. He just looks to me like he has ridiculous quickness and burst for a guy his size.

I agree WR. I think Kaumatule is the better player.

Obviously would not mind getting both though.

Damn.

Nice pickup for Stanford. I was hoping that with a good showing this week we'd get back in the mix for him.

Would have been a nice get but I like what we have at DE for the next couple of years. I will put a higher priority on recruiting DE's next cycle.

Still taking visits.

Could Luke be the committed 4* that BlackNGold alluded to in another thread? We need Tui and Cabral to work some magic. #1 player in Hawaii.

Latest info from Biggins basically lays out that Kaumatule is playing the waiting game with Stanford admissions. Also mentions an in-home with Cabral this week.

Great to hear. Cabal gets him to come to Boulder and Embo and the Beauty of Boulder seal the deal! That would be a great story. Hope we can turn him and Stanford throws an assist with their admissions.

We need one of these momentum builder type switches late in the game. Getting this guy in hear at DE would be huge.

Do work Embree!!!

Is he visiting you guys? I hope so...I heard UW is the flavor of the week.

post edit: btw not trying to flame just telling you what I heard.

Planned for the 27th. If he doesn't clear Stanford admissions, we might be in good shape. He wants to study engineering and he has a great relationship with both Cabral and Tui. Also good friends with 2011 signee, KT Tu'umalo.
