Buff Nation has loved every step you have taken since you arrived back on campus. You have instilled discipline, you have provided vision, you did not trash your predecessor (even though you had every reason to), and you have given us the hope that CU football will return to its deserved position among the college football elite.

Chapter one of your era begins tomorrow in Hawaii. Despite the national press predicting you will fail in your first year, I believe you will stun the doubters. I see an 8 win season, followed up with a Top 20 recruiting class next year.

Bring it home, Jon. We are in full support of your efforts!

I appreciate the straight forward way he speaks to the fans. You would want to have a beer and talk to him and he would be exactly the same as he appears in these interviews.
 
I wrote and deleted this post multiple times because I don't want to be negative right now, but I do feel comfortable saying that I don't give a **** how Jon is in front of a mic or an audience, all I care about is wins. In the first two years of Hawk I heard him speak in person multipe times talking about what he was going to bring the program to and it was inspriring and I was fully on board. No longer will I fall for the hype or the expectations. I fall for wins.

I also heard how Barny's Strength and Conditioning coach was soft... blah blah blah. It all sounded good. This stuff sounds good too. But I put zero value on it. So many people posting ridiculous stuff about how much better it is now. Yes, ok maybe. But nothing meaningful has happened. Real life starts in 13.25 hours. I'm optimistic. Show me. Embree would agree btw. Show me.
 
Agreed with everybody. Embree has done everything right so far, but as he has said, it comes down to wins. I think our buffs should win today. I am fully on board. Shoulder to Shoulder!

My previous letter was unfair and loaded with ridiculous expectations. Forget that I sent it. I am prepared to be patient, knowing you need time to repair the damage done by your predecessor. Press on, and we will be there to support you.
