Nembot to redshirt AND .....

what? I know we need some talent upgrade on the OL but taking someone who has only been playing football for 2 years to the OL seems like an issue.

Sounds good to me we need all the help we can get on that side of the trench.

I'll continue to trust the coaches. I know that a lot of the guys who closely follow recruiting thought that Nembot could and should end up at OT. In fact, I think that is what Washington was recruiting him for. Where we had thought of working him in and been practicing him was on our XP/FG and Punt teams as an OL, so it's not like he wasn't practicing as a blocker.

I had hopes for him on the DL, but it takes a truly special athlete to be able to be good there at his height. While I was hoping that he'd be that extremely rare guy, I knew it was a bit of a long shot. I'll take a guy with freakish size and the athleticism to be considered at DE as a LT every time, though. I'm excited about this move for him and for the team.

BB is getting so sarcastic, I wonder if he even has a choice about it anymore.

In all seriousness, I really like this move and I am glad it is already happening. He has the frame to be a mammoth OT.

Surely Nembot saw how changing from one position to the OL benefited Nate Solder...let's say the kid is smart...now if Kasa could make the move too...

Love this move. From the practices and scrimmages I saw, he's got more potential as an elite OT than anything on D.

I like the move because I think it's being made to give him the best shot to be successful as a football player. Id be lying though if I told you our oline recruiting or lack of success there, so far, didnt cross my mind. Recruiting isnt over tho but we gotta start winning or playing a hell of alot better.

Wll, BB, me and others I can't remember thought that was where he'd end up...I like it.

Reassured after reading a bit more on this. When I saw the news I had concerns it was a knee-jerk reaction to the bad O-line play on Saturday. Bouncing players around or (burning redshirts) in response to immediate needs was the typical Halkish pattern of doing things. If this move is being made to enhance his abilities and build a stronger football player I am all for it. Was glad to see the redshirt new regardless.

If it doesnt work out at T, can always move him back. Having a guy with these kind of physical traits is a good problem to have. As it is, I think it'll work.

Glad he didn't waste a year at DL. He has a lot to learn at whatever position it was he was going to play. Has the tools to be an unreal OT imo. And he is more than a little smart.

If Poston doesn't raise his game, FB or blocking TE could be his future.

Good thing Cody has graduated because Nembot would take away half his passing tunnel. You would have to line all the wideouts on one side.

Nembot now Offensive Lineman

Kyle Ringo reporting: "CU defensive lineman Stephane (sic?) Nembot is now an offensive lineman. He asked to switch sides after Monday’s practice."

We need talent on OL...
