Noob Season Ticket Holder: Where do I tailgate?

Ok, so my much anticipated debut as a Buffs season ticket holder is on Saturday. I plan on coming up and doing some tailgating before the game.

I do not have a parking pass or anything like that. Where can I park my car, grill up some brats, drink some beers and throw the football around prior to the game?

Any advice is appreciated! Was thinking about getting up there by 11 or so.

Go Buffs!

Go buffs!
come to sackygate!!!

It's gonna be tough if you don't already have a parking pass. I think you might be able to buy single game parking (for $20 or so) in the Foam Dome lot right near Colorado and 28th. Other than that, you can park somewhere else and go to sackygate.

Did you get a parking pass?

It's really unclear that it doesn't automatically come with your season tickets. I almost didn't get parking my first year with tix. I ended up calling the week of the first game to say I hadn't gotten my passes in the mail and then I had to pay some extra money ($150 maybe?) and go to the ticket office to pick them up.

Regardless on whether you have a parking spot, there is general parking if you get there early. Also, if you don't already have a tailgate group we'd love to have you come to the AllBuffs tailgate that sackman hosts (details in the "Tailgate" sub-forum and you could PM sacky).

huh...i asked about parking when I ordered my seats. They told me it was going to be like some extraordinarily high amount of money!

When you say Sackman "hosts," it, what does that mean? Does he have beer/food? Is it BYOB? BYOMeat?

It's not BYO anything, it's bring whatever Sacky tells you to bring. Each week Sacky posts a thread in the Tailgates subforum asking for a roll call of who will be at the gater, then he hands out assignments accordingly to ensure proper amounts of food and, more importantly, beverages. You are always free to bring more of what you are assigned or to bring something in addition to what you are assigned. The most basic requirement of sackygate is that everyone gets housed.

He has a prime lot assignment by Farrand Field. He has a table, cooking equipment and some coolers. He'll put a menu together of a main dish he's going to cook (sacky jambalaya ftmfw). He'll also start a thread where he assigns people who are coming to bring different items (beer, liquor, chips, side dishes, etc.).

He got it started for this week in the "Tailgates" sub-forum you can link off the top of the football forum. Thread LINK

Also, here's a map of where we do the sackygate: Map LINK

pretty sure for 20$ you can park somewhere around the field next to the business school.
