Iowa State, KU, KSU, Baylor refuse to waive right to sue (was ISU refuses)

I am so glad CU got the hell away from that conference. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying the **** show the B12 has become.

I´d be enjoying it a hell of a lot more if there wasn´t the underlying concern that we might be seeing some of them again fairly soon.

Big 'Clone fan today. In fact, I may even forgive them for the "Tornado Sirens" game if they stick this out.

Agreed, we (and NU) showed how to properly switch conferences. Mizzou and aTm have shown how to completely **** it up. I'm actually proud of the Big leftovers for putting up a fight, but that kind of goes in the face of the "we don't need you guys, our conference will be fine with whoever we bring in to replace you" mentality that was going on up until yesterday.

I'm holding out hope for aTm going back to the Big 12 with their tail tucked between their legs, everybody reiterating their pledge to Big 12's longevity, upping the penalty for leaving, and Texas banning any future networks focusing on just 1 school (OU) while also making more of an uneven distribution of revenue plan for TV $$$$.

Truth to that. Was telling the Whorns fan in my office today that we DO NOT WANT them (or OU/OSU/TTU) in the Pac12. I'll be super frustrated if they cash in on our good fortune! :)

Anyone think the SEC didn´t really want Aggie and was just looking for a way to save face?

The one downside of this that I can see is if it works, Baylor fans are going to think they're the ****. ::sigh:: Why can't I just watch this all unfold and root for utter destruction of credibility on all fronts?

more sources on KU and KSU:

@1053thefan: BREAKING NEWS: @richiewhitt reporting that #Kansas and KSU are joining #Baylor in legal actions against A&M going to #SEC.

Isn't that what we're seeing??

This may be the greatest story I've ever heard....go baylor :puke: isu purple pussies and I can't believe I'm saying this rock chalk jayhawk

I can see a win-win going on for the SEC. On the one hand, they start the mega free-for-all with a big splash by expanding in to TX and getting a jump on everyone while at the same time lining up for a huge payday and possibly leaving the Pac with a UT-sized problem on their hands. On the other hand, they are preserving the status quo for quite some time while at the same time ensuring the Big Ten and Pac-12 won't even think about raiding the Big 12 expansion for a long, long time. The SEC is probably feeling quite good about themselves. That said, I think they really do want Aggy but not enough to spend legal $$$$ on it.

I hope the SEC sues the Big 12 over this. Just a week ago, the Big 12 supposedly sent a waiver of the lawsuit option. On top of that, the Big 12 tried to poach Arkansas. The Big 12 is on dangerous ground here.

Any scenario that causes mayhem and destruction in Austin without actually sending those assholes to the Pac is the prefered scenario. That's what I'm seeing right now and I'm loving it.

I still think that when this all shakes out, A&M will stay in the Big 12. They'll stay, but will be a whiny bitch about everything that the conference does. Perfect.
