WORST OFFICIATING i've seen. 5 penalties on cu none on cal and...

They call a catch on a clear drop, they were moving on a play that cu gets called for roughing the passer?

Add to that, CU could easily be up 14-0 if hansen would quit wasting plays and throwing the ball 30 yds over everyone's head.

These refs are ****. CAL has not 1 freaking penalty.

Penalties are penalties. Everybody gets them.

Hansen needs to quit throwing the ball into the 1st row in the stands. I would rather he run the ball in those situations than throw the ball 30 feet over everyone's head.

43 yds in penalties already. Gonna be the difference in the game at this rate.

Went from 2nd and 4 to 2nd and 9, now 3rd and 8.

How can cal have zero penalties and cu 6? It's a joke,. Cal had 10 penalties last week, their on the road. 3 of the penalties on cu were bogus. This should be a 10-0 or 14-0 game.

That was the worst officiated game I have ever seen. Cal had a false start and delay of game in the same play, not called. The play clock had been on zero for several seconds. ****ing bull****. Someone tell me if there was a hold on speedy's last run? Looked a bit phantom to me. It was good to see Folsom loud again!

And the Buffs got a totally bogus penalty when Speedy got hit a fraction of a second after the whistle blew.

Penalties are part of the game. Nobody forced Colorado to false start 10 times. And why is it after the Buffs score a huge TD and seem to have ALL the momentum - the ****ing kicker sends the ensuing kickoff out of bounds?!?

Those penalties are the ones that kill the Buffs.

Cal fan here. I come in peace. Bears agree the refs sucked but see the plays where we got screwed.

YOU got screwed???????? Cu got screwed on at least 5 calls, especially the one at the end of the game when cu would have had a first and goal at the 4. Holding? Your guys held all game. **** OFF

Yeah, those 5 penalties you guys took were killers....

Or maybe the Buffs should have been called for a full two dozen??

Thanks for the peaceful drop in, but if anybody over in the Cal faithful thinks that you guys have ANY ****ing THING to complain about, they are seriously delusional.

That said, otherwise a good game by your guys, and I would say our inability to score TDs in the red zone or to make big stops in stupidly long yardage situations are what killed us, more than the officials. Honestly, this one hurts worse than the butt whipping last year, because we know we should have won this one...

I seem to remember a phantom penalty that benefited us. We need to be better than the refs. Why aren't we bitching about not going for the fg on the first drive?

The linemen on the CU side was so bad. Terrible ball spots and I think he left his flag in the locker room because he sure as hell wasn't going to throw it. Guess when PRich gets hit from behind and throws him off his route and causes the ball to fly over his head because he was pushed, that's not a pass interference. We got away towned today.

I'm usually on the side of "don't blame the refs". Today was the exception to the rule. They had no business officiating a college game. It may have looked different on TV. But anyone that was there? How could you argue it wasn't brutal? On one of the pass interference calls against us, they lined it up like a spot foul, 30 yards down field. Took em 5 ****ing minutes to figure out that p/i is actually a yardage foul. Even thought the penalty looked iffy regardless. Any Cal fan that says they got hosed, please. Head ref had his 401k riding on a Cal win today. I have seen alot of football at folsom for as long as I have been on this planet and I have never seen our fan base so pissed because of the refs. And that is a bold statement I promise. They literally had no clue what was going on. Called a 5 yard penalty on Cal, marched em back and then revoked the penalty to 1st and 10. I really hate excuses but the refs gave Cal etleast 7 points if not 14 today. I don't care what you say about excuses. You will never hear me melt about refs like I will today, unless those asshats show up again. Those refs can suck my 8==================================D

The officiating was awful and the fans who were there were ****ing pissed.

Still, even after all that, we lost by ourselves.

I seem to remember about 5 crucial calls going against CU. I never whine about the refs ever. Take it for what you will, cu got hosed at home. They could have won this gane 3 times if they executed in the red zone but the refs were awful and did have an effect on this game.

There's a perfectly reasonable explanation for that one.... the officials on the field ruled it a catch initially.

Aside from the fact that Ray Polk doesn't play for Cal, it was a very astute call...

There's no point in going into it, it will de-evolve into an argument. They were bad, we can agree on that.

Bigger picture - welcome to the P12. I'm curious to hear from Cal friends that went to the game about the experience...there are now three stadiums I haven't visited. On tv it looked like a tough place to play and a good addition to the conference. Tough loss for you guys today, no doubt. You guys dominated the 2nd half like crazy. Thought your coaches schemed really well on offense. Extremely surprised about the OL play (no offense but you'll want Marshall out of there very soon. We heard this from prior schools and didn't believe it. The unfortunate truth: he's terrible). You've got some nice players, no idea how you lost last week. Anyway, good luck the rest of the way.

tequila - re: Marshall

You do realize he has been at CU before? You also realize that in 2001 he coached the most dominant offensive line in college football?

yes but it's 2011 and his OL can't run block for ****.

One week he can't pass block, the next he can't run block

Let's give this guy a little while before we start lynching him

Pass blocking seemed fine to me today. We did throw for 474 yards

I agree, it was one of the most bush leauge performances from the refs I have seen since probably the 93 Miami game. SO many BS calls against us, not many on obvious ones for CAL, and the other half of the time they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to decide what call to make. I think they came over from doing a Pee-Wee game earlier in the day.

Cal won, we didn't but this is one of a handful of a few times where I seriously think the refs poor judgement played a big outcome in the game.

You talking about the out and up route he ran? Dude shoved him with both hands in the back as he was turning to go upfield. That one should have been another TD for PRich. No call...
