Why haven't we seen any of the other rb's?

Don't get me wrong, speedy has been great with those screens and at times running but just wondering why we haven't seen any other rb's like jones, lockridge etc...

Speedy is a great back but he is not a goal line rusher. Cupboard is bare, they need to convert a safety or LB

If we had secondary depth Polk would be an easy choice. That 4th and 1 in the 1st quarter, Speedy is just not the back to run it up the gut with. Great in the open field but damn, that was awful imo, it's like he just stopped then got stuffed.

On runs, Speedy is still dancing a bunch. In the OT, he had his best N/S runs. Not saying he is getting great run blocking but we need a change up to give the run game a boost.

We need a Brandon Drumm type back when we need short yardage. Great to see Brandon today.

I hate that we have recruited literally nobody for that position for the last 5 years (or more). I hope Embree will fix that, and soon...

I don't know that Jones or BLock are any stronger N/S than Speedy, and the coaches probably want to give him a fair crack at breaking EB's record. That being said, I think our best RB for this style of offense is probably playing safety because we haven't had a legit BCS conf recruit at that position since before Barnett left town.

I'm not sure those guys should be in unless it is short yardage. After reading everything from yesterday I am willing to give a different back a few cracks at the short yardage carries.

I wish we had a RB who was 6ft 1 230 lbs...... one who rushed for 87 yds and a TD on 11 carries

Darrell Scott did that yesterday -

don't get me wrong.... I LOVE Speedy.. but would be nice to have a little 'thunder' to go with his 'lightening'

against Ball St...

I think the EB is one of the best RB coaches in the game at any level but I think he also can be a little hardheaded and rigid.

My guess is that he is not playing the young guys as a message that they have to learn the blitz pick-ups and the pass routes to his satisfaction before he will put them in.

Along those same lines I would have loved it if DS was here to contribute but that ship sailed long ago. Considering EBs intensity and DS's shall we say laid back attitude towards conditioning and practice it probably wouldn't have ended well.

I was watching Scott vs Notre Dame last week and despite his 230 frame, he goes down just as easily on first contact as Stewart does. We'd still be having our running problems if he was still here

Obviously my favorite part of the football season is watching games, but an added bonus is Drunk Panda's annual return from hibernation.

Polk and D Scott came in together and Hagan was talking about them and was quoted as saying 'Polk would play on Sundays' (as a RB). I noted he didn't say the same about DS at that time - or any other time I remember.

If O-lineman can be used, why not give Polk a shot?

Not this **** again. Let it go.

Because Bieniemy gave them all girl names and sent them to the showers.
