Goodbye Pac-12 South: SEC accepts A&M

I sure hope Texas brought their top talent to service the OU boys when they visited Norman for the weekend to convince them to stay in the Big 12-2-1.

UT is a non-starter. Ain't gonna happen. OU, maybe. I have to think that there will be a great deal of resistance to allowing UT into the Pac. OU is a horrible cultural fit, too.

I really hope we stay at 12.

I think you are fighting an unwinnable battle. If ut caves on the network and rev share, the p16 will become inevitable I fear. Kinda hope I'm wrong and sacky is right however.

this unfortunately.

That headline is a tad premature...read the full statement on the SEC site..."they are optimistic about TAMU becoming a member..." Maybe someone at OU is cashing in a favor to have the Okie media portray TAMU as gone already?

Also, I agree that the PAC 12 is looking inevitable...but I think its more unlikely that UT is part of then that they're coming at this point. They seem 100% wedded to keeping their bastard child network with no concessions.

so what happens if we just invite OU and KU and go to 14. does the SEC go for OSU or Mizzou to get to 14?

SEC would take a team not in its current footprint. So, Mizzou, WVU or VT if it can.

I feel like if we pass over OSU this time, they will be there later. Lets try to get the best tv markets we can and then fill in later if it doesn't work out.

The SEC won't take Missouri unless they go to 16. They won't break up the East/West divisions, imo.
