What happened to my boy Richardson today?!

Just a mental melt? How do you drop all those passes? The two in a row was rough to watch. Obviously it didn't matter in the long run but I want to see him come back to Earth for next week. I am sure he came in today pretty cocky, maybe this is the game he needed today to prosper for the rest of the season. Go Buffaloes!! Congrats to Embree, Bieniemy and the rest of the black and gold!!

it seems like he was trying to do too much and replicate his game from last week

1. They always had a safety over the top. Always.
2. He kept dropping the short passes.
3. Our gameplan used him as a decoy in the 2d half, to great effect.

From here on out he will be a huge decoy. I want to see him pick it up again next week. We don't stand a chance next week if P-Rich has that performance again.

He was pretty much always already thinking about what he was going to do after the catch before he had the catch secured.

Agreed -- when he dropped those balls you could see his eyes were way too far up field, he was clearly getting ahead of himself.

In the long run I definitely think this is good for P Rich and CU. We don't want him jumping ship for the NFL draft, he's still got a lot to learn from Embree and Co. before heading up to the NFL.

Very good point.

If he is able to attract those kind of double teams again this season, we will see other players have impressive performances. One play he took two a corner and a safety all the way to the end-zone before it was determined to be a run play on the other side of the field.

That and from my view it seemed that most of the passes to him weren't the most catchable balls save for that one that hit him in the hands and bounced off his facemask. I still think Tyler has alot of work to do on his accuracy. Sometimes it is great but other times it seems to be wildly inaccurate which I think comes back to his comfort zone in the pocket and trust in the big boys up front.
