How the AD can help the team win!

Alright, I have figured out what the AD needs to do in order to help the Buffs win. The answer:

Flyovers!

In analyzing the season here is what I found:

CSU 2010 – no flyover, but it is just CSU.
Hawaii – low clouds at the start of the game prevented the flyover, Hawaii takes a 10 point lead. Flyover at halftime, Buffs win 31-17.
Georgia – Flyover and the Buffs win.
Baylor – No flyover! Loss!
Texas Tech – No flyover! Loss!
Iowa State – Flyover and a win.
Kansas State – Flyover and a win.
Cal 2011 – No flyover and a tough loss
CSU 2011 – same as CSU 2010

Maybe the plane helps to calm nerves, gets the pregame jitters out, or is just a weird coincidence, but I think the AD needs to schedule flyovers for every home game from now on!

Lots and lots of CU grads flyin' Navy jets (and helicopters, for that matter).

I'm thinking with the first Pac 12 game there will be a flyover this weekend......Now I'm comfortable about predicting an ass kicking victory!!! :smile2:

Okay, but we need an aircraft that matches the quality of the on-the-field product.

Flyovers are good. I think tactical air strikes on opposing teams would help the Buffs come Saturdays too. Napalm Lincoln for good measure also. Actually, it would improve the place.

I was at the UGA game. I don't remember the flyover for that game.....?

I was pretty well loaded but, something like a flyover I generally think I would remember?

IDK looks cool to me in a sort of Ernest Borgnine kind of way.

Hahah.

We had a guy in my sqadron lead a formation over a parade (Coronado) at (well) under 100 feet. The Commodore was in attendance, and directly in front of his seats a terrified horse threw its rider who broke his neck and the parade stopped while medical support was rendered. Not a happy Commodore...

How come blimps never show up in Colorado! I ****ing love the blimp!

Colorado can be windy! I applied to fly the goodyear blimp a few years ago. Got called for the interview but turned it down once I found out what the commitment was. Those guys are gone from home like 340 days a year and for months at a time.

They didnt hold that formation very well but the timing was about as good as you can get. Very cool!

JUst don't put me on the roof of the club seats on the east side manning the radio to bring the F-18s in - we lost 55-10 to Mizzery the last time I did that. And the guys almost got taken out by some dumbshits in a single engine Cessna over Longmont.

Do they put out a NOTAM during flyovers? When they fly over the stadium at that altitude they are basically cruising right through Boulder Airports traffic pattern. Boulder and Longmont are all uncontrolled too so any VFR guy isn't going to have a clue what is coming. Not that your basic VFR flyer is checking NOTAMs for flyovers. When I was instructing out of Jeffco and were VFR we basically just looked for gamedays and stayed away from that temp TFR which isn't big enough to contain a flyover.
