Folks, that photo is of a 15 year old. He's an absolute mauler who also started as a freshman. Check out this video from 2010:

Still early yet to say where this kid will play I think. He appears from that video to be a VERY fluid athlete for such a big kid. If he continues to add some power and pass rushing ability, i could see CU looking at him on the DLine. We have a hard time finding those guys, so some homegrown products who actually have some skill would be a great thing. Especially at DT/NT.

He doesn't just move the pile - he is the pile. I felt kinda sorry for some of those little guys out there...

Good thing my brother plays center and won't have to face him in a year or two.

In with the first offer.

#CUBuffs the first to offer Parker Ponderosa OT Chris Fox. Early on it looks like he is the top recruit in CO from the Class of 2013.

He doesn't just run over people (although he does that to,) he actually uses his hands and good leverage at the point of attack. Same thing tackling, he gets his arms around the ball carriet quickly and solidly. When he can he wraps with one arm and goes after the ball with the other. Shows that he isn't just a big kid in a helmet, he listens to his coaches and applies it on the field.

I would love to have this kid identify himself as a Buff. John Major committed fairly early to CU and I hope that he is mentioned a lot at Ponderosa as someone to emulate.

Landing Fox would be a nice consolation after whiffing on Callahan and Thurston (assuming we can't turn either of those guys).

These are the kinds of kids you got to have if you want to turn the program around. He's a must get, IMO.

Agree, this year I expected to be an inconsistent class due to the short time the coaches have been here. Next year they have to make a statement, especially in Colorado to show that CU is a legit destination for top flight players.

Should be our number 1 priority for next recruiting season. Shane Dillon needs to do work with this guy all summer talking about protecting his blind side for a pro style offense. Why do I have the sneaky suspicion that USC will sneak in and gobble him up?

Not sure how Dillon can get in his ear. Why would they even know each other?

Dillon will be in CO. can certainly get a hold of this guy and have him come in for reps that aren't associated with CU. A little 9 on 9 touch with a few lineman and receivers would go along way. We need to get this guy to know people in the program and we need to do asap. If we miss on him I will have to lower my expectations on what this staff can do with top in state recruits.

Like others have said. We need to close the borders up on most of our top in state people.

Ohio State and Iowa are entering the fray here.

Expect Fox to be one of the most heavily recruited prospects in a long time (that includes Ryan Miller, Nick Kasa, Bryce Givens, etc.)

I know people on here want to close the borders (so do I), however I would not see it as a failure if we fail to pick up a CO guy and land an equally good player from outside the state, be it CA TX D.C or where ever. Sometimes it doesn't matter how much you recruit them, after being in one place for so long some kids just want to see other places. You get kids like norgard who have a passion for CO and a passion for CU and those are the instate guys you have to get.

Being said Fox would be a huge pick up for our team and I hope the coaches can convince him that there really is no place out there like CO.

We need OL in the worst way. Right now, I think he has to be #1 on our wish list. We need to show some improvement this year, and we're up against some tough competition for the kid. I'm glad that the rest of the Pac hasn't seemed to locate him yet. Gotta think we have some advantages over places like Michigan and Ohio State. At least in terms of weather.
