Snyder overachieves. Wins over Miami and Baylor. We need Jon to do the same....win with little talent. So far, Jon has failed.

Snyder is perhaps the greatest college coach of all time. Taking KSU from the worst team in college football history to competing for national championship is quite a feat.

It's not really a surprise that he's bringing them back again. The surprise is that he's doing it so quickly.

I don't think the Big 12 is all that tough - look what happened to A&M. Next year in the SEC they will be playing teams like that every week. Considering what he's got, he's a damn good coach.

Ok umm how long did it take for Snyder to turn around KJuco? I would pretty much guarantee it was more than 5 games.

Well, umm, I think he led the team to a .500 season after Prince burned the house down. Not sure what the hell you are talking about.

Ron Prince didn't burn it down nearly as badly as Hawkins did. Prince was 17-20 at KSjU with a bowl win and two 5-7 seasons. Snyder didn't improve a whole lot looking at the results.

Prince brought in a boatload of JUCOs, hoping to win quickly. When that failed, there was no base left for Snyder.

guess you werent around when he did it the 1st time....

bill snyder is a hall of fame coach. Not surprised he has them winning games.

not to mention his coaching tree has some pretty good coaches on it that coached under him at KState

and tiny you arent old enough to have been around when he built the program the 1st time....

No I wasn't but I do know that KSjU was one of the worst D1 teams of all time prior to him getting there.

Im not saying he isnt a great coach, I just doubt he did it in 5 games. Imho, way to early to say Embree is a failure or failing. Besides, KJuco has a pretty big advantage when it comes to getting jucos into school. That speeds up the rebuilding process sometimes.

He takes subpar talent and wins....not giving up on Jon yet, but would have been nice to see him coach up Danny's also rans.

They say Bill Snyder orchestrated the greatest coaching job in college football at KState, and I'm willing to bet he's gonna bring the Mildcats back for round 2 of national prominence. Kinda wished we brought back Bill McCartney too.

Or at least brought in a prominent coach, with Bill in a consulting role..

I hear what ur saying and I agree with you to a point. Saying that, there is only so much coaching you can do. Comes a time when players have to apply that coaching consistently on the field. You can tell a safety to not get beat deep in the situation like today till you are blue in the face. I dont see it as coaching that this senior player broke a cardinal rule in that coverage. To me, thats all player. Of course that just an example and my opinion.

I said prior to him getting there. Luckily Minnesota is far worse than we are.

Hard to back up since we just lost at home to WSU, a team you were ridiculing before today's game.

But I don't know why you guys pick on tini for comments re: Snyder - is there something wrong with learning by reading?

Idk man Minnesota lost to North Dakota State and New Mexico State at home and got beat 58-0 by UM today.

And they give me **** because I post it.

1)I've tired of people calling out tini just cause he is young. That is pretty irrelevant.
2)I'm not sure how much worse the gophers are than us at this point.

Appreciate it. Don't know what the big deal is that I have to google something but whatever floats people's boats.

We're pretty bad but Minnesota is far, far worse. Getting shut out 58-0 at home? That's some Dan Hawkins **** right there and they lost to South Dakota State and some other **** team at home. We're better than OSU, Indiana, Minnesota, and probably Purdue. Really can't think of anyone else.
