When it rains, it typhoons

I'm 30 lbs overweight and haven't played since 18, but I still might have a year or two of elligibility left...

Don't see how we don't end up with another True frosh starting or playing at CB this week.

Rumor that Block is injured hitting other boards. :bang:

Saw him on the sidelines the last couple of drives and wondered why he wasn't playing any after having done reasonably well earlier. At the same time he didn't seem to be favoring anything or walking with a limp so ?

Washington has to play corner then. I don't know who else we could go with.

looks like some form of ankle sprain. We will find out thursday if he can go. They gotta be burning a RS (who?) or playing another safety at corner, which would probably be washington, as nik said.

At your size about all you could play is special teams, not kicker or holder, more like tee!

He's as big as Espy and he claims he's in shape and mostly sober these days. Could be our best option.

So, the Oct 3rd depth chart shows:

LCB: Espinoza
Olatoye
Vigo
Orms

RCB: Henderson
Lockridge
Moten
Hawkins (Jonathan, of course)

As far as the CB situation goes, it should be called a lack of depth chart. I'd love to see us play a great game Saturday, but I don't see anything but an Aaron Rodgers vs. Denver type display. Not only do we have the injury/secondary situation, but I think I read that Luck has thrown 75% of his TD's to his tight ends so far this season--that just doesn't bode well at all.

He's not fat, okay? He is precisely 5' 9.25" and 164 pounds. He's the opposite of fat.

Buffs need to run the ball every down. Burn clock. Get the game over as soon as possible.

+1. Sad that we have fallen so far, but this the only chance we have for a moderately close game. We need to see a lot of running, screens (to backs and receivers) and the option.

So, let's see, Jared Bell, Paul Vigo, Sandersfeld, Orms, JHawkins, Jaffe, Harrington, are all injured, and now BLock too? Deji is out for violating team rules. And CU plays arguably the best QB in the nation this week.

So we got Greg Henderson, Moten and Espy toplay CB. I have the roster and there are some guys on there listed as DB, who else are we gonna have? Washington? If I am Stanford, I go four wide all night long....

eh. these Monday depth charts are rarely accurate. They sure didn't list Juda as a starter last week, and they don't list suspensions or non-injury related absences (like Hawkins).

Olatoye is killing us...whatever he did to earn that suspension better have been worth it to him. That said, it boggles my mind that guys like Espinoza and Lockridge are better options after one week then a guy like Moten who's been practicing at CB since he got on campus.

So yeah... get Washington at corner, have T. Smith take most snaps at nickel and though it won't be pretty by any stretch, get bigger at safety and put Mahnke back there if you have to. Much less than ideal for Stanford. Just hope our line is ready to get the running game going because we're gonna need that time of possession.

@KyleRingo: Colorado free safety Ray Polk has a bad wrist, fractured sternum and concussion and hopes to play Saturday against Oregon

RT @KyleRingo: CU cornerback Jason Espinoza probably won't play against Oregon. He is recovering from a concussion. He hasn't been ruled out

Colorado also will be without wide receiver Kyle Cefalo against Oregon. Cefalo also has a sprained knee. #CUBuffs #buffs

Embree also said that free safety Ray Polk has been playing despite probably needing surgery on his wrist. #CUBuffs #Buffs #Pac12

Umm, someone has to play right? We just lost our 10th string CB, and it is a bad thing.

Does anybody else remember hearing, repeatedly over the summer, "as long as we don't have any injuries in our secondary, we should be fine"?"

We are going to have to start true frosh at cb. I don't see a way around it. UO isn't the team to do that against. Talk about initiation by fire. At least it's a home game, but I hope they don't lose their confidence given that game.

I remember hearing how there was like 8 CB on each side / had to many so some were moving to receiver
