Have we hit rock bottom yet?

I sure hope so...otherwise, I will be too old to see the deserved resurgence of Buffs football....

I thought we hit rock bottom years ago..... yet we continue to spiral downward

Me too...will never forget Danny's presser at his hiring....was thinking, Top 5, here we come.

CU could go 1-12 this year and I still believe rock bottom was the Kansas loss last year with dickhead Hawkins still on the sideline.

we haven't hit bottom yet, but we can definitely see it from here.

If we haven't hit it.... then what does it take to get there?

If we dont loose by 40 and show some life this weekend, we may have passed it.

Rock bottom will be getting blown out of Folsom on Nov. 4 on national TV for our 7th consecutive loss, putting us at 1-9 for the season. There will literally be nowhere to go but up from there.

This is rock bottom. A home loss to Wazzu with their second string QB, and now two 66-7 type losses on the horizon while on our our way to a 1-12 or 2-11 season? Gotta be the bottom. I don't care that we're "young" next year, it's a good thing that a ton of guys are moving on, and at the moment we have only one asinine OOC game scheduled instead of three. Even as bad as we are this year, it would be a far different story in morale/outlook had we fattened up on a couple Idaho States right now and were sitting at 3-2, regardless of how ugly it was. Mind boggling that it took until this year for some to realize that it's not 1994 anymore and the scheduling ends any hope of miraculously getting to .500 and building momentum by the end of the the 1Q of game one (literally). Not much else to do now, it's early October and the season is beyond hopeless. Just have to cross our fingers that the Buffs can somehow find a way to win a couple more and get to 3-10, distract ourselves with basketball recruiting, and hope that we can somehow find a way to add a few impressive pieces to this recruiting class by signing day. I'm certainly excited about some of the young guys on this team and the QB situation next year should already be an improvement.. so there is hope that next year with a normal schedule we can finally start the process of trending upward, long as it may take. However, you have to be concerned that the desperately needed upgrade of talent virtually across the board is not taking place as of yet. As has been mentioned, we're getting some of the "solid", but we desperately need a few "elite". I didn't expect a night and day turnaround in that regard, and I hope we're ready to give Embree 6 years at a minimum, because all indications right now are that this is going to take a while.

70-3. No RBs or walk-on WRs playing defense. Just straight up Betsy'd . That was bottom. We are just skipping off the bottom now.

Not at rock bottom yet. Most likely 1-12 this year. Paper thin next year with new qb and a mediocre recruiting class ... on the other hand Bill McCartney will be 75 yo in 2015.

Why do people always mention 70-3 as if the program were somehow in better shape now? CU is a significantly worse team now than they were in 2005. If you think we would do any better today vs. Vince Young's NC Texas squad you are a fool.

Sick of seeing this game referenced and over and over and over and over and over and over and over as a component of an absolutely abysmal argument. If we played that team with this squad it could well be 77-0. Who cares?

This is what Dan Hawkins left - don't blame Embree. Oh yha, those recruiting ratings don't mean $3!t. What do you say now?

You guys are on your way back. The first step was getting rid of that intramural coach you guys had. Nothing good could happen until that happened. Winning games is the end process-not the first step.

I think we're bouncing along rock bottom. Been there for a while, since at least last year, but will get really ugly over the next few weeks. The Stanford & Oregon games will be brutal.

I think we hit rock-bottom, and continued to dig.

Seriously. We need to see a pretty darn good recruiting class this year to start climbing out quickly. With our performance on the field this year, I'm not holding my breath.

I like to hear your outside perspective. Helps to keep my head on strait. How did you end up here? Did you come by for the NIT game last year and decide to stick around?
