i saw that INT from the get-go. TD.

Tuberville may battle back but i think KSU runs the ball down Tech's D all day.

Snyder is scary.

i don't want to like the guy, but really? that's good football....every time.

One of the best HC's in college football history. The turn around in his first stint was simply amazing. Now it looks like his cats are very legit again in his second!

2 blocked field goals and a kickoff return for a td in the first half? Snyder is a miracle worker and Kstate looks to be back. I just don't get how CU can be so dismal for what will now be a better part of a decade, and a guy like Bill Snyder just wins. The opposition starts every drive at the 40 and CU starts on the 10. We can't snap the ball without a false starts and Snyder turns qb Klein (a nobody) into a fine qb. It's befuddling.

Notable names on Snyders coaching tree, and Snyder kept doing it after losing these guys

Bob Stoops
Mike Stoops
Brent Venables
Bret Bielema
Bo Pelini
Carl Pelini
Dana Dimel
Jim Leavitt
Mark Mangino

That list is incredible. The best name on that list might be the last one.

Just curious....what happened to Mangino.....did he open a Krispy Kreme franchise?

Not sure where he's at now but that certainly was a strange ouster of Mangino at KU. They swept that under the rug. Great coaches are of the rare variety, as we know here at CU.

Even though Kstate has played a poor game so far, down 28-20 at half, Snyder will find a way to position them into the fourth quarter and scratch out a late win.

You mean there are teams out there that don't annually use 'lack of talent' and 'lack of depth' and 'young' as an excuse?

KJSU has also benefited from being able to sign any JUCO they want. PLus they have two 5 stars staring for them in the Brown brothers. Bryce Brown a 5 star RB out of HS who is a transfer from Tennessee. And Arthur Brown, a 5 star LB out of HS who is a transfer from Miami. In fact Arthur had a big impact in the cats win over Miami.

Believe it or not some coaches can do 'more with less'. A novel concept at CU where we buy into every 4-year plan no matter how bad it starts. I hate slamming CU but its just difficult to watch them, knowing that we will use the same excuse next year and the year after, waiting for year 4 and a hopeful 7-6 record.

Yea, KjSU can't brag about their academic standards.

Believe it or not, Bill Snyder went 1-10 in his first season

Mack Brown went 2-20 in his first two seasons at North Carolina and finished with 3 10 win seasons in 5 years before Texas hired him

True. But KState pre-'89 was the worst program for decades in college ball. Apples and oranges compared to CU today. Then Snyder promptly went about .500 for the next few seasons. It looks like Embree might go 1-11 his second season as well.

For every Snyder or Brown there are a million more that never made that jump, kept having 2 win seasons, and got fired. They're obviously the exception to the rule

Bryce Brown has run the ball 3 times this year. There was some talk that he quit the team earlier in the year, I don't know how exactly that turned out.

Chizik went 8-5 at Auburn his first year and a MNC his 2nd year at Auburn. That was after 5-7 before he got there.

Just giving an example that coaches who take over a ****** situation need time. I can keep going on with succesful coaches who started ****** if you would like

I could also come up with a list of suckass coaches who fans said needed time, only to prove to be the suck.

yep, much better athletes, plus it didn't hurt that he was able to get a Florida Gator that was kicked off the team that could be one of the best college QB's of all time

Hey now, just saying that early coaching results at a down program seem to be more a predictor of later results than people are giving credit for. Not every turnaround has to be the burn it down, piss on the ashes, 5 year plan like CU accepts every time.

It's not talk. From what the local rag said here he "left" the team for "personal" reasons and hasn't been seen at school for 2 weeks now. Most people around here think he is a head case and has wasted his talent. Arthur has really impressed and straightened up after being a bust at Miami. People made him out to be all world in high school, and Brian Butler did him no favors. From what I read into Snyder's comments this week is that the kid has some serious personal problems and needs to get his life in order before even thinking about football again.

wow! Not only has KSU coem back, they are turning this into a route. Up 41-31 with the ball inside the Tech 10!:wow:

Hate to say it, but the old fart is so much smarter than all these west Texass dumb asses. Much less talent, but he is a winner. Tech may still win this though.
