If we had overtimes in the 90's

CU had several ties in the 90's that I felt we were very furtunate just to tie. With the way these games ended as far as in momentum, what do you think the outcomes would have been had we had OT then?

90 Tennessee T 31-31. CU really should have won this game, up by 2 TD's late in the game and allowed Tenn to rally.
91 Nebraska T 19-19. Of course the blocked PAT was the difference, but didn't Nebraska have a chance at the end. I don't remember.
92 Oklahoma T 24-24. We had to have a really long FG to tie it if memory serves.
93 Kansas state T 16-16. I don't really remember this game

IIRC, KNU had a field goal attempt to win but knuckelballed it wide of the goal posts, probably thanks to the football being frozen solid.

lol and snowballs and possibly some oranges

Yeah... I am going to credit the dude who threw the Orange that missed the kicker by about 3 feet right before he went to kick the ball...

The video that is on You tube shows the orange hitting right near the kicker... I am searching....

I remember the Tenn game in 90 and I do not think CU would have won in OT. From what I remember of that game, CU was happy that the clock ran out before Tenn was able to score anymore. Not sure OT would have helped.

haha - totally forgot about the orange! Love the home field advantage.

That was my recollection too, thought they had big momentum at the end of that game. Didn't Pritchard rush for 200+ yards?

Correct about Tennessee, they were almost in FG range when the clock ran out.

K-State '93 - The Wildcats needed a looong 4th down conversion to get into FG range to tie it w/ under a minute to play. The Buffs would have imho won this game in OT as they would have ran away with the game early were it not for some red zone blunders. I remember thinking after this game that K-State was legit and Manhattan was going to be a tough place to win.

'92 Oklahoma - The Sooners had two defensive TDs, but CU needed 10 late points to tie the game.

I don't know that I could have survived OT in 91, that was the coldest game I've ever attended in my life - HS, College or Pro.

and there was only 1 clip on that play... it could be argued that Johnny Rodgers dove at him and the CU player didnt even touch him

Didn't Colorado intercept a pass in the endzone at the very end of the game?

I didn't make it through that game, granted I was six. My dad took my cousin and I to the bowling alley that was on 30th and we watched I think the 2nd half there.

CU probably would have won the KSU game, maybe the OU game (since we had momentum), and the NU game would have been tough, considering they kinda dominated in the second half, iirc.

I never saw the Tenn game because I had to work. Damn you tivo for not having been invented yet.

I'm pretty sure K-State celebrated that tie like they had actually won the game, too.

I was completely apathetic about K-State football up until that point, but at that moment I could tell that they were going to piss me off.

IIRC, we were up by 16 and Tennessee scored twice and made both 2 point conversions to tie. That sucked.

Sorry, no. Mike Pritchard scored on a long run to put us up 31-17 with about 7 mins left to play. The Vols scored twice and got the ball back, drove down inside our 20 before the gun.

We also blocked a Tenn FG att. Not sure if it was at the end or earlier.

went to manhatten to watch CU play ksu - only to feel like I had kissed my sister.... 19-19 tie against chad may / I did go on the field after the game and shook coach MAC's hand and buddy got a pic, so it was worth the trip!!
