anybody else who went to the game please chime in.....

ASU fans sure acted like they've been kings of college football for years..... soo much arrogance
and for what reason I have no clue-

classless punks for the most part- making rude comments when CU players got hurt
bitched about the pass interference calls that were obvious....
gracious hosts they were not...

if CU can eventually improve this series could erupt into a rival purely on
the douchery of their fans-

Wait till you meet their little bro.

Either the fan-bases are devolving, or we're growing bitter and angry as the season wears on

I had zero interaction with the fans, but my rankings after this week

1) Cal
2) WSU
3) Stanford
4) Washington
5) Oregon

N/A) ASU

not bitter or angry-

ASU fans where very classless. The game was never in doubt, however they were acting like we were some sort of threat.
CU fan near me stood up and cheered when CU scored on defense close to the half only to get verbally acosted.

I don't doubt you... I was just making a joke. I believe ASU has a reputation for that however

I've been to enough away games to know that there are douchebags in every stadium. There was even a guy at Hawaii running his mouth. Kept screaming "put them in a body bag!!!" Jerkoff.

It's just part of going to another stadium and watching a game there. Remember how much we got pissed off every time the fuskers came into our stadium? Well, we're the new fuskers of the Pac 12. We travel better than any other school in this league, save for possibly Oregon, and once they sulk back to mediocrity, they'll be right back to where they were 15 years ago.

I didn't go this year but I went to Tempe in 2007 and I remember the ASU fans there being somewhat obnoxious then too...guess some things never change...

I remember the ASU fans being idots when I visited a few years ago as well. I've got no problem with the Cal, Wazzu or UW fans. I would also choose Oregon over ASU at this time.

Doesn't surprise me. Dennis Erickson reminded me why I never liked him last night. Looking forward to tagging them back in basketball here and on their court.

Interactions with Cal and Oregon state fans at the basketball games last year were decent. (with the exception of the whistler)

I guess I'll give my take...(a little from the other side)

I went to the game with UBL and Bbadds and two other CU students. We first went over to the CU tailgate outside Wells Fargo. My parents (work at CU) paid to get in but us college kids just hung out outside for a few min. President Benson actually came over and introduced himself and talked to us for a little, which was actually pretty cool of him. We then went and tailgated with some ASU fans before the game then went over and picked up our tix. Surprisingly, no fans outside the stadium really gave us any **** at all.

We sat down in the front of the visitors section (24) around a bunch of ASU fans. For the most part I thought everyone was pretty cool. Except for one guy who thought he knew everything there was to know about every college team in every sport ever for the last 20 years. I think if the game was a little closer, there would have been a lot more **** talking going on.

Throughout the whole weekend UBL and Bbadds were rockin' CU gear at every party and all over Tempe. Not too many comments or douchbaggery from the ASU fans that I could see.

Most of the ASU fans agreed that CU is just dealing with way too many injuries and are way to young to compete this year.

ps.. We'll try and post some pics later of BBadds and his Tempe hookup.

Had a hell of a trip into tempe. had a 6am flight. long story short, my alarm didn't go off, and i left boulder at 5am. i got to the gate to the plane at 554 and they wouldn't let me on. but i got on the next one, so it wasn't too bad.

UBL got me from the airport and we went to Tempe buffs house. we went to a place called the "chuckbox" for lunch, good burgers.
next day was the game, didn't have any problems with ASU fans. went and tailgated with them and had a good reception. A lot of them said that we just need time to get better and get good athletes.
Went into the game, and met a big ASU family. they were okay. the dad tried to be cool and was until the game started, then just started to be smug and rude about how bad we are. He said he was pissed cause they didn't put up 30 on us in the first quarter, greedy bastard.
then this bro chewing redman wouldn't shut up about how cu basketball is going to be terrible because we had a terrible football team, no correlation if you ask me. and after clowning on CU and all of our programs for the whole game, he would then say " yo, but bro, i love colorado, i think you guys are going to be really good" then continue to clown on us, saying stupid **** like the ASU campus is better than ours.

otherwise i had a really great time.

Only sign of doucheness was at the end of the game we went to the lil hall way were the players were coming off, and some ASU white trash skin head fan was bein a dick to our players. otherwise it was fine, can't expect no trash talk on a trip behind enemy lines. can't imagine what its like in the SEC.
saw malcom get taken off in the cart, that was really sad. but a great trip overall. love to come down here every time we play them.

Pretty tame fan base. I grew upgoing to ASU games. 1 guy behind me I almost punched. He shut up when he realized I'd had it and gave him my wild eyed look.

Agree they act like they are a dynasty. They got Burfict disease. They Lose about 16 starters to graduation so it's no dynasty.

As I was sitting at whateverthe****@MileHigh watching Detroit pown the Broncos, I decided we think all these fan bases suck because our team sucks. It doesn't matter whose stadium you're sitting in, if your team is winning you're going to make noise and the other guys are going to be quiet.

If it's a close game (Cal and WSU), both us and the visitors have moments where they can talk ****, but it's a good close game, so both fan bases have to actually pay attention to the game.

Recently, when the opposition scores 8 times in the first half, those fans are going to make noise and have **** to say and we have nothing to come back with. Nobody really has to watch the game anymore, so we result in people watching. You'll notice those poor CU saps shaking their heads in silent misery. Give them ****! That makes the other fans seem douchy (and perhaps they are a little bit). But we're in a more bitter state of mind because our team is getting punked.

I was pretty pissed watching douchnozzle male sweaty hairy Detroit fans dance around topless to Cotton Eyed Joe in the 4th quarter of a near empty stadium, while the hot girls dancing next to him still had her shirt on, that's when I devised this theory. What do you think?

Stanford was a pleasant surprise for me, I had a great time, no problems.

ASU fans didn't bother me much in '07, but I was delirious from the 100 degree temperature. The fanbase do act like they are superior, but whose doesn't?

Ducks are the worst for me so far, pretty much act like our fanbase did 15 years ago. Think that success will last forever, and half the fanbase who are lucky enough to attend school there during the up period don't have a clue about football, but think they do while riding the wave of the Ducks success. Ignorant "know it all" bliss. Man I miss those times.

Now USC fans, though not bad when I went in 2000, after 5 years of success, they were the worst fans to interact with. Worse than Sooners, not Longhorns though. Curious how things will be Friday night with them.

Cal fans didn't bother me, I can't remember Cougar fans. Huskies, I respect, but didn't go to the game this year.

We really didn't have any problems with the ASU fans. We were welcomed every place we went Friday (although we were probably 15 minutes away from Tempe, not exactly ASU territory). Spent many hours before and after the game on Mill and didn't receive a single negative comment. Ran into Jon Major's dad and several other Buff parents at Blondies before the game. They were enjoying a couple beers prior to kickoff. Probably helps ease the pain.

As for the game, we were surrounded by ASU fans and only one guy pissed us off. He made some comment about a CU player (Hartigan) that had just been injured "faking it." Maybe it was because we were getting smoked, but most of the ASU fans around us were pretty apathetic, even early in the game. It is amazing to me that they have a student body of 70,000 and can't sell more than 50,000 tickets on homecoming.

Lastly, while I confess that we may have been at the wrong bars, the hottest girls we saw all weekend were the Hooters waitresses at dinner after the game. And that isn't a compliment to ASU co-eds.

I was at the game with my brother. Didn't really get too much interaction from Scum Devil fans on the way to stadium. We sat right below the CU Band. But not surprising with what you experience. Their is a majority of fans of ASU that once they get a little success or have over inflated expectations seem to act like they are the greatest team in the nation and with 5 national titles. Then once they lose they are full of non legit excuses. Been like that every since i been here since 94. You should have seen the one year they somehow beat Nebraska you would have thought it counted as 10 victories.

We were at Blondie's as well for pre-game. I was pretty impressed with the CU turnout.

As for the ASU fans, I didn't have any problems. They were lame for the most part. A few tried to talk smack but were so bad at it that it was easy to ignore. The only decent smack we heard was from a security guy after the game.

Lastly, while I confess that we may have been at the wrong bars, the hottest girls we saw all weekend were the Hooters waitresses at dinner after the game. And that isn't a compliment to ASU co-eds.

Wow. We had dramatically different experiences then.

Not surprised. We kinda got stuck post-game at this one bar that came highly recommended from a fellow CU fan. We should've made our way around a little.

You expect vastly superior teams to treat you nice? No thanks. No one wants you in this conference and you can't beat anyone in this conference.

Admittedly off to a slow start. But we still have the second most all-time wins in this conference, and have beat Pac teams in the past. Finally somebody does want us in the conference: Larry Scott, whose opinion matters a bit more than yours on this particular issue.

Thanks as always for dropping by, and again, kindly go **** yourself in the ear, you sad little person.
