I was just looking for a thread to dump this timelapse of how they prepared the USS Vinson´s flight deck for the Carrier Classic btw UNC and MSU. Pretty cool idea.

I'm REALLY hoping the Dark Horse has that game on tonight. I'd DVR it but f'in Comcast STILL hasn't hooked up my TV (or phone, or internet....) since I moved. And won't for another 5 days.

God I miss DirecTV.

As it´s on ESPN I guess you should be fine.

I know people who had to wait 6 weeks for the Telekom to hook up their internet and phone here, btw. Not to scare you. :)

I'm in awe that something can be as big as an aircraft carrier is. 41 regulation basketball courts? Holy ****.

Showers moving in for this evening, hope they're able to pull it off. They do have a back-up plan to move it to the hangar bay if inclement weather, but seating would be cut in half.

I did the tour of the Midway in San Diego and I was quite sick of all the ducking and walking after 4 hours. Especially the way up to the bridge was particularly funny.

Yeah I did that tour when I was in 5th grade but I couldn't grasp the thought of how big these things are. Remarkable.

I was wondering the same thing, what is their backup plan incase of bad weather. Also, if its windy, it will be completly different shooting the ball. Should be interesting to watch.

Wow, that sucks, DirecTV and Qwest were there by the end of the day, and I had TV and internet by dinnertime.

Oregon plays 7th ranked Vanderbilt tonight, will be a good early measure to see how improved the Ducks are.

Very cool. I've spent some time on that flight deck, and at this moment it's less than a mile from my house. Wish I could have been there...
Thats awesome man. Thanks for everything, happy veterans day to you and your fellow men and women who have served.

ACC/B1G Challenge

My hometown 'Hoos drew first blood in the ACC/B1G Challenge tonight with a nice 70-58 win over #15 Michigan. UVA is flying under the radar this year, but they're right in that 3/4 spot in the ACC with FSU this season. I've got a ton of respect for Tony Bennett, very good coach. Their defense is just smothering.

Maryland is trailing Illinois 47-45 right now. Would be a MAJOR boost for CU's RPI if the Terps could pull this one out.

Looks like Northwestern is going to get the win over Georgia Tech. Northwestern is a bit of a surprise this year, 'Cats will be 6-0 with the win. Could this be the year NW makes their first trip to the Big Dance?

Three more games tonight, including #4 Duke @ #2 Ohio State. This will be the one game I won't be pulling for the ACC..

Tough loss for the Terps. 3-3 now, they've got another shot for a decent win facing Notre Dame in their next game
