4 star RB Traylon Shead is looking to transfer from UT, Ringo just put a piece out on Scout which implies we´re in the mix for him. He´s a Redshirt Frosh.

I have a question, do transfers and etc count towards the signing class or is that just for JuCOs and High school players.

do we know why he is leaving Texas?

Jonathan Gray is coming to tu next year, and already third on the depth chart, it didn't seem like he'd be playing RB. He was practicing at HB/TE a little apparently.

Texas fans love this kid, because he gave Perry a texas longhorn salute when he won the state bball championship (perry is a tamu grad).

I hope he decides to come here...

We need all the former 4 star recruits we can get. I haven't been able to get a came on my cable in a while but has Clemons finally figured something out at WR? Two nice games in a row. Its to bad it took to long for him. I was very excited when he transferred here.

Would take him, but I have some questions about him playing 1A competition in high school. Also wonder why he was not getting more playing time at Texas.

1A in Texas is about your 3A around here, he probably weighed more than his linemen did. Reason is isnt getting more playing time at Texas is pretty damn obvious, they are loaded there and more here soon.

I can't think of a lot of guys in Buffs uniforms who would be blocking him at this point. This is the kind of player who is definitely worth a bit of a gamble, if that is how you see it.

Hard to say why he isn't getting more time at Texas. Texas has a roster full of 4* and 5* players. Some are guys who just aren't as good as their recruiting ratings would suggest. At the same time Texas is known for missusing or failing to use the talent they have on the roster. For some reason Texas depth charts seem to be heavily based on politics and coaches favorites. Arguably Texas has recrutied as well as anyone in the country for the past 10 years or more. In that time they haven't come close to a national championship except when they had Vince Young to overcome Mack Brown's idiotic coaching decisions.

I think a kid would be more likely to transfer if he feels like he legitimately isn't getting a chance to play than if he isn't good enough to play.

My only worry is that after his redshirt season, not getting on the field this year, then sitting out a transfer year he will not have seen the field in 3 years :wow:.

None the less definite want.
