CU destroys AZ

First thing that I would like to say is pointed to the sports analysts who blamed the wind for the outcome of the game. Colorado's offense passed for 227 yards while AZ passed for 352. Obviously the passing wasn't the issue. It was the 3 interceptions on terribly telegraphed throws by a future NFL QB. It was our run Defense limiting them to 60 yards while our O- line allowed our RB's to gain 273 yards on the ground. It was our time of possession of 32:52 to there 27:08.

Now that that is out of the way.

This is the blueprint and the model for how CU football will be played in years to come and I couldn't be more excited. Our o-line looked nasty and exploited their D-line. Our RB's hardly went down on first contact. Our QB was smart and efficient (minus the pick 6) and the passing game complimented the run game instead of the other way around. Our D was swarming to the ball in most cases, our secondary made plays when they had to. Our LB's had some huge plays (and hits, thank you major for that highlight)

It was obvious that we are not a finished product. That we still have a ways to go in terms of talent and experience. (The last AZ scoring drive with those 10yard out passes and then the receiver would just step out of bounds was unacceptable for our secondary and LB corps) But a win is a win against a quality opponent ( i understand they are 2-8, but as many have pointed out, they look like a better team than that)

Our D bent but didnt break, our O was dominant at times, and others was still plenty good enough to secure the win. The play calling on O was balanced and yet had enough surprises to keep us from being predictable. Our lines controlled scrimmage. Our seniors finally looked like seniors today. I couldnt be more proud of our Buffaloes.

Good Job Embo, EB, and Brown on an awesome game. Just do it again on Saturday then we will really be rolling. I cant wait for this weekend to be there in LA to witness the last nail in Neuheisal's coffin.

The announcers yesterday were FCS material. The one guy named yogi, kept blaming the wind if something didn't go well for asu which was laughable.

They were calling zona ASU? That is really bad! Good thing fans like us never **** up!

I loved the shaking up of play calling. A trick play of Rodney to Hansen. We also had a few quick snaps! One of them caught Arizona hugely off guard and me in the stands for that matter. I think Bieniemy is learning.

And the end around on our first snap, the Defense was not expecting that at all.

Worst quality broadcast I've seen in a long, long time. The left corner of everyone's screen was tinted green for much of the game, there was no replay of penalties and some weren't even mentioned at all, on one drive the camera angle made it look like the Buffs were climbing a steep mountain (no, trolls, it wouldn't be funny to make a joke about our offense there), etc. etc. The announcers came across as CU homers, but about the only thing they definitively knew about the Buffs was that O'Neill can punt with both feet. I'm happy that the Buffs are on TV more than many teams, but the ABC and ESPN broadcasts that come with relevancy can't get here soon enough.

He can?!?!?!?

The wind was a non-factor in that game. It was bad outside the stadium, but down in the bowl, it wasn't bad at all. Barely noticable, in fact.

At one point during the game my wife came in and said "Wow that channel is terrible. What's wrong with the picture?" I said, when you're 1-9, you end up on FCS. It really is worse than KCNC circa 1991.
