Nick Fisher & Isiah Oliver

FWIW, the rules guy on the broadcast said he wouldn't have booted Laguda. Wasn't completely surprised, but he didn't use the crown of the helmet and especially didn't like the way the rule is used, in that they said the ruling stands, which means they couldn't find indisputable evidence either way but the player is off the field for the rest of the game. It should be a decisive replay to boot a guy.

That call was bull**** but we have to avoid getting those early. That's twice now.

Great job by the guys who stepped in and for the defense as a whole.

Go Buffs!!!

Seems we may have already found the next Chido/Thompson secondary combo (maybe not the same positions but still beasts). They took their lumps but both made some incredible plays. Like I've said, going to be a young but talented/promising secondary next year.

What was unfortunate with the targeting call is the situation which the penalty occurred. Football has created so many rules that the rulebook may no longer be unilaterally applied. Had that hit been at mid field I do not think it would have been called because it would be considered a tackle, but in the endzone it was considered excessive.

Another unfortunate mark was the referee's comment that the play "stands" ie we can't tell if its targeting in the replay so we default to the initial call. I think if a player is to be ejected the officials must have a difinative reasoning to eject. Needs to come down to a yes or no answer.

"Did the player target the head of the opponent?"

"Was there excessive contact to the head of the player?"

"Was there direct helmet to helmet contact?"

Nick Fisher joined the fight today. As someone already said. Game ball for him on defense. We're setting ourselves up for the future and it looks good

J Mac was nails today as well. How many 1st down catches did he have?
Think it was 5 first downs on 7 catches. He must've been pretty shifty too since he generally had tons of space around him on each of them.

I was really worried before the season when Winfree was injured. The wr corps didn't seem to skip a beat.

I was concerred yesterday when Bobo got hurt. Others stepped.

We return a lot of receivers, and with the recruits coming in, I guess the rich really can get richer.
