So it is starting to look like Frost may be completely in over his head as HC at a P5 program and rode the perfect scenario to this point. Delicious!
I don't think you take a team from 0-12 to 12-0 in two years by not know what you're doing from a schematic and coaching standpoint, regardless of external factors that might make a perfect scenario. I do think he completely underestimated how bad the talent was/is at Nebraska when he took the job, along with how much harder it was going to be to scheme against BIG teams rather than G5 teams week to week. I'm not saying he'll be successful, just that if we're being honest here, 5 games is a little early to declare he's in over his head. His attitude does suck, though, and isn't going to fly in the big time, so something needs to change there for sure.

I know it would never happen, but I’d devote the time and money into baseball, basketball, and (continue) volleyball if I was in the Nebraska athletic department. Fewer players per team means fewer recruits you have to fool into spending their college years in Lincoln. Additionally, the Midwest is pretty flush with talent in those sports. Those recruits are already used to grey skies and boring cities so it’s an easier sale.

Nebraska’s only draw is that their creepy fans make the recruits feel like celebrities, which is a nice bonus but you end up with the soft teams and recruiting misses they’ve had because any recruit with options cares about more things than that. Strive to be a 7 or 8 win team in football and reinvent yourselves as a basketball school, idiots.

The negative recruiting must be epic.

“You sure you want to play for THIS GUY?”

I'm really beginning to think Scott Frost has some sort of organic neurocognitive disorder or other psychosis. Something is really not right with this guy. His suspicion and paranoia may also be indicative of borderline personality disorder or perhaps schizophrenia. I'd imagine quality mental healthcare is hard to find in Nebraska, but this guy should really get in to see someone ASAP. If he's going to be allowed to freely walk around on campus and the mean streets of Lincoln, he needs to be on meds! Seriously!

It's called Fuskeritis.

We should organize a Cain Mutiny . . . Pretty sure we could Captain Queeg him with a reasonably concerted effort.

Just wanted to point this out since I’ve seen it a few times being posted. Riley isn’t at Oregon State anymore, he was there for a bit but then decided he wanted to coach some semi pro team down in Texas I believe.

You are correct. I was promptly corrected by an angry Fusker fan during the game in Lincoln after Martinez went down and my buddy gleefully asked “Where is Tristian Gebbia?” I replied that he was “with Mike Riley at Oregon State” and the Fusker fan angrily snapped that Riley was with a team in Texas.

A bunch of his assistants are there now though, specifically the old DC. Many of these kids are west coast kids that came to Nebraska due to Riley connections, and that connection is now burned. I could see that some California recruiting could get strained.

I really think that Nebraska needed to consider becoming a defensive powerhouse first, with a power running game like Wisconsin and Iowa, but neither of those schools is a defensive powerhouse at all, so there is a way to be unique.

There is the possibility that Frost does not work at Nebraska and it would have been easier for him to take the Florida job!

They actually have a solid team this year because two top guys went to through NBA Draft analysis and came back. They did lose one guy I think to European ball, but they actually may finish this high in the league, and just like football, they have a pretty big time basketball arena that gets all the crazies that have nothing to do pack the place. How funny is it that Basketball will be the distraction to Football, instead of the other way around!

He was the OC at OSU for a hot minute and has taken on the HC role with the San Antonio team in something called the "Alliance American Football" league, but the season doesn't even start until February. OSU's website still lists him as an offensive analyst, but there's nothing anywhere that I can find that definitively says whether or not he contributes to OSU in any way.

At what point (throwing up in my mouth) would it benefit us to start rooting for Nebraska (swallowing said throw up)? Their misery, while refreshing, only drags down our SOS.

The next two weeks will solve a lot of our SOS concerns, and if we manage to win both, it renders SOS quite meaningless.

So, in other words; what @Shldr2Shldr said.

Nebraska has a meth problem. Maybe his "robbery" was a meth payment issue?

Isn’t ambiguity surrounding his contribution to a football program pretty much the hallmark of his career as a head coach?

Their misery is worth the sos hit.

Just keeps winning. **** SoS.

When Hell freezes over.

Never. I always want them to lose, no matter the cost.

Nothing like Little Red to unite Allbuffs.

Root for CSU, OSU, WAZZU, UDub, Cal. **** Nebraska.
