CU officially hires Mel Tucker as new Head Football Coach

This will provide some insight as to how he can be in the locker room. Starting around 0:49.

Thanks to MM for leaving the program in better shape than he found it but he couldn't do what MT did in that video if his life depended on it. That is fire! Forget about any disappointment you might have if Day was the guy you wanted. We got THE DUDE. Recruiting. Fundamentals. Mentorship. Toughness. He will motivate and accept no excuses.

WOOOOOOOOO BOY!!!!!!!!!

Suit me up!!!

That was actually a decent piece right up until the very last little editorial comment. What a douche.
Yep and if he can figure out how to get people to tune in to watch kids take an ECON final and get sponsors to pay for advertising during it, then he will realize his dream.

I don't know if I am more shocked that MT took the job without seeing the facilities or the fact that RG sold him and signed him without him coming to Boulder. I mean who takes a job with out touring the facilities? I guess Rick still has it, wow. Unfortunately, based on MT's reaction of the facilities/stadium and that watching that Georgia video, he's in for a rude awakening into the state of this program, the seats half empty is a 180 from Georgia SEC game day. Not even going to mention the difference in overall fan support.

This is a steal for CU and Mountain for MT. Hope he rises to the challenge and if he does, CU will officially be back.

Winning cures everything. I'm expecting the fans will gather for Coach Tucker!

Seats will be full if we win. We've seen it within the past couple of years. If MT does what he thinks he can do, the fan base will follow suit and MT will not be disappointed.

I was just about to comment on this....what struck me most about the video were two things:
1) He seemed to know Maurice Bell by name before even meeting him (unless he happened to recruit him coming out of high school....but even then).
2) He took this job with out having visited the facilities etc.....he genuinely seemed blown away by what CU has going on.

That all says to me that HCMT is 100% about people. He believed in RG and LC enough to take this job based upon them as men, and what they were telling him, and he immediately jumped into knowing who his guys are before even arriving on campus. That is ****ing outstanding in my book. We're going to win!

you all do understand that the video is edited. i thought the first name thing was nice too, but someone in the tour probably said, "coach, there's one of your players, Maurice Bell."

Very simply, the seats CANNOT be empty! Sell the mother out every game.

Yep, he was introduced by the guy that was giving the tour. But, the best part was saying he was a "Hugger". Many of these kids are going to improve as football players exponentially this winter and spring. I will bet you that some of our players are going to surprise the heck out of us come next year. This roster has talent, and a man like Coach Tucker can bring that out of these kids.

I distinctly remember MT saying it was the first time "seeing them in person" in one of the interviews or at the podium. Of course RG showed him photos and videos and gave him a detailed rundown of what we had. He knew that the facilities are new and state of the art.

It's not hard to see what we have in this video.

As for attendance, just win and that will take care of itself.

Agre...hey Marshall.....look up tuition/room&board at CU 10 years ago and compare it today. Then let us know how you feel about the "education side" and let us know you wish to revise your comment.
