This is the first game between these two where you gotta say Clemson is better and its not close. I don't remember the last time one of Little Nicky's defenses got torched like this.

The thing about recruiting at that level though, is that while you obviously get a lot of talent, you have more 4 and 5 star busts too. Josh Jacobs was a 3 star, and gets more touches than Naked Harris.

Always exceptions to the rules for sure. Being a 4/5 stars doesn’t mean instant NFL stardom. But their level of recruiting now is absurd. Anyone on Allbuffs would be absolutely ecstatic if we got ANY of their recruits. Their worst recruit is rated better than any of ours.

Of course. I'm confident there's 2-4 NFL guys in our class, but I'd say there's probably 15 or more in Obama's.

I think Venables/Clemson is just the first team that is smart and talented enough to disguise their coverages well enough to confuse Tua. More realistic comparison to how Tua right now would play in the NFL. With time obviously I think he will get very good at reacting to disguised coverage but right now he has shown a weakness that great college defenses can try to exploit.

A certain Mel Tucker did a decent against Tua fairly recently, too.

I wouldn’t say it’s not close. I think Tua has just made two bonehead plays that swung the momentum in Clemson’s favor. I think these two teams match up very well.
