Other games thread -- Conference Play!

Get 'em while they're already down ... and then step on their throats and grind your heel until you hear something snap.

/yes ... that sounds a little dark. But I REALLY hate AZ b-ball ... I mean really really.

Wonder if Sweaty Sean will take a bid to like the CBI in March

just griping: we have the Ricardo era homecoming this weekend and the P12 sets the game at 6 Sunday - inconvenient for everyone involved. I wonder what the $ gain/loss is based on increased TV viewership, versus lower attendance and vendor's sales, with all these non-college tipoff, kickoff times

What’s wrong with a 6 pm Sunday start?

Watching the end of the Duke game, question came again. Who have I seen, in college, that matches Zion's physique? I didn't see Barkley or KMalone in college, other than clips, really. Only two came to mind, Rodney Rodgers and Julius Peppers. The athleticism of a guy this size, I don't think I've seen, in my lifetime.

What's with players wearing strips of black tape on their shoulders? Is it some sort of therapeutic tape? I saw an NC State player wearing it earlier and a Kentucky player wearing during this game.

My Toreros are playing Gonzaga on ESPN right now. We have cocktail tables in one of the end zones. Embarrassing.

Are you referring to those Cox and Geico tables? I thought those were media tables.

EDIT: NM, I went back and looked and now I see the round tables with tablecloths behind the media tables on the left side of the screen.

Nope. Behind those. There are more bleachers there that could get more people closer to the floor. But we have like 4 cocktail tables. Fits the stereotype of the school perfectly. Great first half with Piniero in foul trouble though. Go Toreros.

I think Chuck when he was young could be a comp just bc he was a wide body that could run and jump. Zion reminds me of a cross between Chuck and Blake though. I love Zion, but I do think the hype train is getting a little crazy. He's great and has a high ceiling... ...but he's not a generational talent, even if a generational athlete.

I agree with you there. He's got a lot of improvement to make, as well.

Well, got it to 10, probably 9, after the and 1. Piniero has some game, I've only seen him play a few times. See if they can make one last run.

Piniero, Wright and Carter are our 3 best players and are all seniors. We might stink next year. Massalaski is solid and is only a sophomore, but if he’s your best player you’re not gonna be very good. He’s the one Walton keeps calling the squirrel. That is his nickname, which is pretty great.

You should be proud of them torerobuff, they didn't get beat because of effort. Gonzaga just has too many dudes, like ya said.

If the game was at 6 Saturday, the alums could enjoy it, party after, get a good night's sleep and travel during the day Sunday. as it is, they finish up 9 on Sunday and have no time to relax and hopefully celebrate, before having to hustle to get flights home

Are you sure it was the Pac12 who set the time after CU declared the event? The time for this game was published as early as 18 Sep 2018 -- i can't find anything earlier than a few weeks ago announcing the Reunion.

Monday's a holiday, though. Not everyone has an off day, but a lot of people do.

Drake with a solid win over Bradley to 21-7 and in position for the 1 seed in the MVC tourney.

Still weird to me that so many CU fans thought that was a bad team to have on our home schedule.

Washington is killing Utah. I don’t have a good feeling about our trip to Seattle.

Utah is 2-15 in the second half. At the under 4 timeout. For those of you who think CU is the only team to have scoring droughts in all of college basketball.
