Official Visits Thread

Despite the lack of commitments it feels like we have some really good momentum right now in recruiting. I’m pretty excited to see where we finish up in MT’s first real recruiting cycle.

Considering the type of players we were filling up on in the past at this time not having a lot of commits isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Absolutely! Was just saying from an outside perspective if you were to look and see only 4 commits you might wonder what’s going on but seeing the traction we’re getting in a lot of places and the excitement we seem to be building it seems like we’re in really good position.

This weekends recruits may still be in town but the next couple weekends will see a number of big time recruits coming in too. Of course, some changes can be expected but according to 247 (free), here's at least some of the names to expect:

6/7/19 weekend:

Here they are at View House. Pretty sure this dude is just a random fan. The Tucker finger point is trending toward a meme. Must be a little weird having a group of adults with a group of high schoolers all drinking water while everyone else are getting hammered around them

You don't have to stay in LA to be a top level NFL draft pick, would be the pitch from Chev and it's a good one.

All of these guys appear to be doing their first visits. I'd feel a lot better if we were getting their last visits. Are most schools not pushing for these visits until the season starts?

Also, Chev continues to impress. So glad we hung on to him in the coaching transition.
Maybe you know the answer to this or not, but is Chev considered primarily a great recruiter only, or is his coaching also seen as a great strength? His recruiting doesn't appear to be a question mark, but is he also seen as one who can develop talent in a significant manner?

Being able to say he took Viska from a 3* to a 1st round pick certainly will help.

I know Oregon and Washington have been hosting plenty of visitors. Jeffers and Rice are both taking officials to Oregon this summer. Parker has a NC State visit lined up. Kole Taylor is taking visits. Dunbar has a couple other visits lined up. Ivey is visiting Tennessee this weekend. Miller visited Kansas back in April. Gonzalez visited ASU before coming to Boulder last weekend. So I think many schools are using the early visits to host some visitors.

The southern schools (Bama, Georgia, LSU, etc.) have been getting a bunch of unofficial visitors for camps.
