Ah, Fogo. When I learned that the meat sweats are for real.
At the least, being big gives you a better chance and makes it less likely that you'll wear down at the end of games and seasons.
It's also good for the OL to actually get to practice against a 2-deep of guys who are as big as the competition they face on Saturdays.
It was a good first step for what needs to happen with the DL. We want it to be massive, deep and athletically elite (i.e., like Clemson). We moved in the right direction overall despite losing Antwine.

Arias is a potential sleeping GIANT!!! With the attention that Laviska and KD will get, I think that Arias over the top of the D is amazing. KD needs to be moved to the slot, cannot stand seeing him instead of an Arias on the outside?
They’re not even getting real traction here lol. They got Luke because Frost didn’t feel like he had to press for a QB and they could take a developmental one. Wildeman had a pretty meh offer list.
Kids include Nebraska in their top group because it comes with a ton of twitter follows and when they go to the spring game they get to sign autographs and feel like NFL stars. Seems like a silly thing for Tucker to say knowing how personally they take everything.

He needs better hands if he is going to play the slot.
I'm excited to see Stanley in the slot, he is a great fit for the position with his quick twitch movements and instant change of direction ability. I do think Nixon belongs on the outside, other then height he is an outside skilled guy. Hopefully Arias can push Nixon for playing time, competition would benefit the team.
Yes. Stanley has the potential to be a special player at the slot. It’s exciting to think about Arias, Stanley and Shenault all on the field at the same time. Some big time matchup problems there.
Help me understand how he has outside skills, but is so small that the throwing window and the options are smaller and thus outside throws are harder. Felt like Montez and Nixon struggled to get on the same page with long throws?
Nixon is more of a straight line speed guy, not a quick-change-of-direction-in-a-phone-booth guy. Slot is the change of direction in a phone booth position when maximizing talent. Just because Montez and Nixon missed on long throws doesn't mean that Nixon has slot skills. Nixon is more suited to the outside then the slot, that doesn't mean that Arias has to sit on the bench.
Separation skills combining strength and speed.
KD may be an outside guy, but I just don't see him open much. The throwing window is so small and I don't see it. I wouldn't count Bell out of the competition either.

I wouldn't count Bell out of simply being a Special Teamer/depth guy at WR for his career at CU.

There are no 5'-8" Outside NFL guys? Tyreek Hill is 5'-10", but way faster than KD
I love KD, just wondering where his best spot is and how he will be used this year by Johnson.
Also, kind of was thinking that the MONEY GANG, and the BLACKOUT BOYZ monikers seem to be gone, and I pretty much knew that Tucker was not going to let it continue and allow for separation of units by cocky titles! This is a team now.

There are very few 5'8" guys in the NFL period. He doesn't fit the profile for an outside receiver in terms of height, but he nails it in every other trait, while he fits the profile for slot in terms of height but nothing else. Honestly, his height makes him kind of a tweener, IMO, which isn't good for his NFL prospects. Short of him having some kind of crazy productive season, KD would be wise to come back for his Senior season at CU instead of declaring for the draft.
Yup, I don't see him profiling as an NFL receiver. He doesn't present a big enough target and he doesn't have elite separation skills. How are they going to get him the football against NFL DBs?
The GMs are going to say the same thing you did, there aren't any 5'8" guys and they aren't going to risk a draft choice on being the first.
The only way I could see him getting a good shot in the NFL is if he can copy what Hill and some other very small guys have done and get attention as a returner.
And unless Viska gets hurt again KD isn't going to get enough opportunities to overcome the perceptions due to his height.
Man I hope you are right! They seem to have been replaced with “Nothing to say a lot to prove”....which is much better
Yeah, I hope he picked a good major.
He'll have plenty of opportunities over the next year or two to showcase his abilities, Viska or not. I also think the acceptance of shorter guys is going to increase over the coming years as guys like Lindsay are more productive. Problem for KD is that he hasn't played much RB in his career and that's honestly where he could project in the NFL more than WR.
