    Because this isn’t a very good team. We play down to the level of competition. This was predictable. We had a chance to challenge for a top spot in the conference and there was an article about it. So the team plays poorly and there isn’t any urgency from the coaching staff to have them...

    It’s tough because I think you can’t find a better person to run this program but from a coaching stand point, you are right- we lose the games that count and when expectations are high, we lose. We should really be playing in the MWC. We’d dominate there.

    It doesnt happen to all the teams. We beat Utah on the road but with this loss, we look like we will be lucky to finish in the middle of the conference.

    its just like last season- we could have really challenged for the title but they blew it in games they should have won.

    At least we didn’t get ranked and then lose, right? Seems like we always lose a game we aren’t supposed to right after we get ranked, either in football or basketball.

    Would Jim Leavitt come back as DC? I think he still owns a home in Boulder. I know he wants to be a head coach again but we sure could use the same awesome D he brought when he was here before.

    I feel the same way. I want us to compete for pac 12 championships but the reality is our recruiting is more of a mid level MWC recruiting. We go after players who are lower tier. And then when we play Utah or Texas, we’re exposed as a lower tier team on the field. Sadly, I think it’s time...

    I think we’re seeing years of ambivalence about having football. We don’t have the budget or the resources to compete. It’s time to just say we’re the 5 or 6th team in the pacific 12 standings each year and we will win a few games and surprise people. I don’t see us rising above that.

    Our recruiting has gone backward though and I don’t see how we will decrease the talent gap with this staff

    So on a National stage we really showed that we didn’t really deserve a bowl invite. We’re getting torched by a back up QB and can’t move the ball against a D missing most of its best players.

    If we had played ASU and USC, we would have been blown out too. And if we played UCLA later in the season, we would have lost. 4-2 is really misleading here
