  1. 2018 Offseason Realignment Thread (because Duff loves this ****)

Also, to Nik's point about the MWC potentially cutting the cord on their next deal...I talked to a MWC AD recently who said that the Facebook broadcasts are more beneficial, but that the donors and old heads like legacy media like ESPN et al. Probably would be the same kind of pushback...
  2. 2018 Offseason Realignment Thread (because Duff loves this ****)

Thing about Vegas being a transplant town is that it's working very well for the Golden Knights in the NHL. Recent article cited that a huge portion of their game-to-game ticket sales was due to fans from Boston, Tampa, etc. planning trips around games to Vegas. Could be a similar thing for UNLV...
  3. SI: CU Assistant Coach's Victim Seeks Justice

Well, the guy who wrote it is a Prof at Nebraska...
  4. SI: CU Assistant Coach's Victim Seeks Justice

There were rumblings that Mac and RG knew earlier, but going back to December....jeez.
  5. Joe Mixon Video Released

Sometimes things (just conflicts between people) are unavoidable or just blow up in weird ways. Avoid them where you can, but I think it's also worth teaching boys to know how to diffuse it if something unexpected happens. And yes, thread has taken a weird turn.
  6. Joe Mixon Video Released

It's the JJ Flannigan story. And if you remember what he says in Gospel According To Mac, it's along the lines of "I was young, I was stupid and I lost my head." In the moment, control is hard, which is why we have to educate our sons about how to deal with those situations better.
  7. Joe Mixon Video Released

You shouldn't expect Mixon to wind up and hook the girl and break her jaw. She shouldn't have escalated the situation, but he absolutely under no circumstances should've responded by punching her out.
  8. We now take you to Minneapolis, MN

This is the weirdest thing to me. Like if that's how you get down, there are some serous questions you have to ask yourself. I don't want to speculate too much on this, but I have a feeling the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Like the victim might have been okay with it until it became a...
  9. Joe Mixon Video Released

Wasn't right of her to (allegedly) spit on him, call him a racial slur and (factually) push him and put her hands on his neck, but short of a woman coming at you with knife, I don't see any reason at all to take it to that level. That's a pretty indefensible thing to see. Shame people need...
  10. We now take you to Minneapolis, MN

If anyone wants to read, this is the police report of the incident. Can't lie, I read through this and I have even less of an idea of what happened or who to believe than I did before I opened it up. http://kstp.com/kstpImages/repository/cs/files/U%20of%20M%20MPD%20report%20redacted%203.pdf
  11. HCMM hangs up on radio show

I can 100% vouch for this. I don't cover the team anymore, but working with Dave Plati separated the men from the boys in terms of student reporters and reporters in general. You learned how to be professional, how to operate around a power 5 program, and a multitude of other lessons that serve...
  12. Leavitt to Oregon

Sheesh, not really the time for the Pepsi shtick, Coach...
  13. Leavitt to Oregon

Sure, but let's not pretend that it doesn't make a difference at all. Adam just reported it, he's making 440K more annually than any other P12 assistant. I don't know a person on the planet that's saying no to that type of offer. And there is no chance CU could afford that either.
  14. Leavitt to Oregon

I don't get the hate for the money here. If you're at your day job, and another company, doesn't matter if it's lateral or not, offers to double your salary, let alone multiply it exponentially, are you really going to have a problem with it?
  15. Leavitt to Oregon

At the end of the day, it's a money thing and a strategic move for Leavitt. He brings that defense at Oregon to the level it was at in Boulder, and he is gonna have every P5 program breaking down his door. To hell with what happened at USF. Shame, but CU just doesn't have the money to compete...
  16. The new "The Rise" debuts tonight at 6:30 MTN time on PAC-12 National

Whoa. That is a crazy amount of footage, even if they're shooting in 4K. They should just release the best of the rest (footage-wise) after the season A La Chappelle's Show: The Lost Tapes.
  17. Helfrich out at Oregon

In Helfrich's defense, he did produce. He was one of the first guys to show Marcus Mariota to Chip, and did play a role in developing him into the star he became. As for Chip, I feel like he's got too much pride to go back to college before being viewed as a success in the league.
  18. Helfrich out at Oregon

Surprised Oregon had the stones to go through with it. But now that the North is stacked with coaches (Anderson, Leach, Petersen and Shaw), the Ducks couldn't afford a potentially lame duck coach. Hopefully they go after Fleck, guy fits in perfectly with the PAC-12. Unrelated: finally...
