    Thats a great comparison. Even further Belichick was a Parcells disciple in New York in the 80's and 90's. They all learn to keep a strong staff that share the same philosophical approach to coaching as them, which allows their assistants to coordinate without there being any issue that comes up.

If UNM sticks with him, I'd say by 2012 that more than 2/3 of the team will be from the DC metro area and the top players at that.     There are a few guys I'd want on our staff as assistants. I think the best approach is to have a mix of experienced veteran assistants along with young assistants who could potentially become Head Coaches down the road. It says a lot about a program with the coaching tree established from it...

    Isn't 16 years a little too long away from the game? Thats my only concern. He left too early, but he really waited a long time if he got the itch to coach again.
