  1. New coaching name: Raheem Morris

Maybe if Shannahan puts in a recommendation although the Redskins do not want him to leave anytime soon. I dont see any way he gets a job this far away in Colorado.
  2. New coaching name: Raheem Morris

So was Nick Saban's in Miami and he had 2x more experience. Some guys aren't fit for the pro game.
  3. New coaching name: Raheem Morris

Of course he didn't discipline in the NFL. Its a little easier to use some discipline techniques in college when they aren't collecting a salary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dM6w20izIzE I can imagine the recruits & players would enjoy playing for a coach like this. He's more of the Pete...
  4. New coaching name: Raheem Morris

Raheem would be a good hire. Will be a great recruiter on the college level, his personality & just overall charisma with the way he interacts with players reminded me a lot of Pete Carroll at USC. Sometimes it hurts being a players coach on the next level where guys are older and less...
  5. Kirby Smart vs. MacIntyre or DeRuyter

Thats a great comparison. Even further Belichick was a Parcells disciple in New York in the 80's and 90's. They all learn to keep a strong staff that share the same philosophical approach to coaching as them, which allows their assistants to coordinate without there being any issue that comes up.
  6. Chuck Martin (Notre Dame OC) is the best possible option at Head Coach

The irony is he was mentioned as a possible candidate at Cincinnati, further complicating the triangle of job surfing between Brian Kelly, Butch Jones, & Chuck Martin. However, Martin has 6 years of Head Coaching experience. Its up to you to discount it because it was in Division II where he...
  7. Kirby Smart vs. MacIntyre or DeRuyter

Well he wouldnt be an attractive candidate if he werent the Defensive Coordinator for a team that has played for 3 national championships in the last 4 years. If he were at a place such as Rutgers serving in the same capacity, I just dont think hed be as sought after because I dont think he...
  8. Chuck Martin (Notre Dame OC) is the best possible option at Head Coach

Just a few notes on him taken from his Notre Dame profile http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Martin_(American_football) - Head coaching experience - Proven winner - Good recruiter - Knowledge as an assistant coach on both sides of the ball Would be a great hire to snatch him away...
  9. '10 CO PF Damian Terry

Does anybody know what happened with this kid?
  10. Bobby Kennedy(current Texas WR coach) Needs To Be On Our Staff

Well we could use him now. It looks like the Horns are trying to run him out of town. Hes a native of Boulder. Cant get any closer to home than that.
  11. Coaching Carousel...

Hes a very, very good recruiter in this area. Actually I'd say hes great. If UNM sticks with him, I'd say by 2012 that more than 2/3 of the team will be from the DC metro area and the top players at that. Hes definetly raising the talent level, but I have my doubts on him being a good coach let...
  12. SportsCenter U: Mark Richt a candidate for Colorado head coach

That dashed my hopes. But the analogy is funny.
  13. CU talks with Bellotti - will not pursue Leach

I agree. We have way more recent history than they have. Minnesota is a basketball school.
  14. So who are some assistants that may end up here next year?

There are a few guys I'd want on our staff as assistants. I think the best approach is to have a mix of experienced veteran assistants along with young assistants who could potentially become Head Coaches down the road. It says a lot about a program with the coaching tree established from it...
  15. Bobby Kennedy(current Texas WR coach) Needs To Be On Our Staff

That would be another good hire. A good staff with ties to the local area would be great for the rebuilding process.
  16. The case for McElwain

Would be a good hire too. He has done a great job with Bama's offense despite McElroy having a noodle arm.
  17. Bobby Kennedy(current Texas WR coach) Needs To Be On Our Staff

Nope, he isn't related to the actual Kennedy family and he hasn't been shot at. http://www.texassports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/kennedy_bobby00.html I think he is one of the most important hires we could make for the future. Kennedy is a native of Boulder, Colorado and he is Texas' WR's coach...
  18. Where Should Bohn Go With Hawkins' Replacement?

EB would be a great hire if we're not going to be able to spend a lot for our next coach. I think our students, alumni, and fans could get behind this team with a young, energetic staff looking to rebuild this program through strong(er) recruiting and letting the players have fun out there...
  19. Your feelings about Bill McCartney being the next CU head coach

Isn't 16 years a little too long away from the game? Thats my only concern. He left too early, but he really waited a long time if he got the itch to coach again.
  20. Where Should Bohn Go With Hawkins' Replacement?

The domestic violence stuff will keep him from ever being considered. He did a pretty good job at Iowa State though.
