  1. Cal HC scoop.

You're cute. Real important on the internet too. Wonderful for you. Stick to reddit, there are a few people who know what they're talking about over here. It's not for you.
  2. Cal HC scoop.

Dude. With all due respect as I am an occasional poster here, you could not possibly be more full of ****. Only in some sort bizarro-world where truth are lies and vice versa is this true. The percent chance that he got an offer rhymes with "wero". Cute handle though.
  3. Serious Suggestion: Let's adopt another team

    Plus Eastern Washington has this:
  4. Cal takes its football seriously enough - Jeff Tedford fired

I don't know where you're getting your info but it's wrong. Nike pays approx $2m/year towards the coaches salary, but it isn't transferable -- that money will be used for the new coaches salary. The money for the buyout is coming from donors -- most of it from a couple of very high net-worth...
  5. Pac-12 Breaks Ground on New Studios

They are building an internet distribution platform almost from scratch. That takes lots and lots and lots of computer engineers. Those are exponentially more of those in the Bay Area than there are in LA. Plus the Pac-12 corporate offices are 25 miles away.
  6. Kiesau to Washington?

Because he played in the NFL at a high level for over a decade or because he has a lot of coaching experience at all levels?
  7. Rock, meet bottom

Take this for what it's worth, (and as much as it pains me to say it) but someone who knows Bob Bowlsby (The AD at Stanford) talked to him and he said that by his estimation, having the team they've had the last couple of years has led to a couple hundred million dollars more in donations to the...
  8. Larry Scott on Portland talk radio this morning

Major League Baseball is shrinking, and the NBA which has very minor revenue sharing is probably going to institute much more robust revenue sharing since many of the teams are losing money. Can't speak to the EPL as I don't know enough about it but they relegate the less competitive teams to a...
  9. September 10 - California @ Colorado

Lot of people picking you guys to win... Ted Miller and Jon Wilner are the latest two I saw: http://espn.go.com/blog/pac12/post/_/id/25259/page/picks/pac-12-predictions-week-2...
  10. We are going to beat California

Ha! Well, space sure won't be a problem, as long as you like wine, cheese, and a stadium with more in common with a mausoleum than a college football stadium. Enjoy dealing with Stanford Public Safety if you guys drink anything cheaper than Fat Tire...
  11. We are going to beat California

Not gone. Tightwad Hill will be back the same as it ever was next year. As far as "atmosphere", if Tightwad Hill is what you're into, you can smoke a joint in the stadium just about as easily as you can up there. Don't blame the school for your absence of sack.
  12. Cal= Another chance to get the Bricks back

If the internet existed in 1991, reading this on allbuffs would have made perfect sense then.
  13. We are going to beat California

This thread is going to be so stellar on Sept. 11th.
  14. We are going to beat California

    Based on what, exactly?
  15. Texas Legislators telling Texas & Texas A&M to slow down!

This is what makes me feel alright about whichever way it goes: http://espn.go.com/college-sports/st...ed-source-says
  16. September 10 - California @ Colorado

All true and fair enough (although we did get a lot worse when our qb went out in the Oregon St game). I had to needle you a little when I saw you say that you thought Fresno should DEFINITELY beat the spread though... I wouldn't call him a worldbeater yet, but he can make plays for sure...
  17. September 10 - California @ Colorado

Yes. He had a 45 or so yard scramble against Fresno, and they've designed some running plays for him as well.
  18. We are going to beat California

It wasn't as close as the score -- 2 touchdowns were Cal turnovers (one was a fumble in the end zone). Cal played really sloppily (3 offsides in a row at one point) but also did some nice things. Maynard (the new QB) looks like he can play.
  19. September 10 - California @ Colorado

Good analysis :-). Don't mistake Candlestick for AT&T. The tickets for the Fresno game were not part of the season ticket package, they went on sale for $95 (it was a "neutral site game" put on by a third party promoter), it's Labor Day weekend, and Candlestick is a pit and impossible to get...
  20. SI Pac-12 **Warning**

Yeah we like them too -- I think they're good coaches. You guys definitely needed a change though. All good natured needling aside, Embree sounds like the real deal and I know that most Cal fans are not taking you guys for granted at all.
