  1. Depth Chart for CSU

Two things stand out in addition to those mentioned above: 1) Neither true freshman TE is listed on the depth chart. I'm wondering if that will change over the course of the season. It would still be very surprising for both Keeney and Jones to end up redshirting. 2) Lisella listed ahead of...
  2. Official 2014 Buffs Prediction Thread (this thread will be bumped)

2014 Season Record: 4-8 Most Surprising Player: Stephane Nembot Most Disappointing Player: Bryce Bobo Likely All-Pac 12 player (pick only one): Josh Tupou Bold prediction: No team beats the Buffs by more than 14 points (currently cleaning puke off keyboard)
  3. 2015: Recruiting News, Notes & Official Visitors

WR recruiting was awfully quiet at this time last year and that worked out well for us. Seems that they're waiting for late bloomers or recruiting situation changes over the course of the season. If memory serves, Michael Adkins was a guy that blew up during his senior season.
  4. '15 UT DT Boogie Sewell (Verbal to Weber State)

Awesome. Welcome to the BUFFS! I think this guy is going to be a player.
  5. What if the OL ends up being good this year?

I'd say it gives us a chance at a bowl game and makes 5 wins a very realistic target. I'm stoked about Callahan but there's still way too many unknowns on that line to make a bowl game likely. Depth is undoubtedly better though, so if Nembot decides to play Right Turnstile or Crabb's back gives...
  6. About Which Frosh/Transfers Are You Most Excited?

    Callahan, Franke and Weatherspoon.
  7. Time For the Annual Article on S & C

Possible, yes. But pretty far down the list compared to bad recruiting, inexperienced gameday coaches and a disinterested administration. Although it seems that an (apparently) poor S&C program is widely viewed as symptomatic of the latter issue.
  8. Time For the Annual Article on S & C

Out of curiosity, how many back issues of Muscle and Fitness do you have lying around?
  9. Time For the Annual Article on S & C

Fair enough. But if you have access to that technology then doesn't everybody? And especially a P5 S&C staff? How does that differentiate us from Oregon State, Utah or anyone else? I highly doubt that Embree's S&C guy, Pittman, Kreis and whoever else was so bad that they brought down the entire...
  10. Time For the Annual Article on S & C

S&C is such and individual pursuit I just don't see how a couple trainers leading 105+ guys who (should) all have different training goals and motivation levels will make much of a difference. I guess it can harm your program but it's not going to help it to the level suggested by these articles.
  11. Time For the Annual Article on S & C

This fluff piece again? S&C just isn't a difference maker in college anymore. Not with so many HS kids in top-tier off season programs like Matt McChesney's these days. Not saying you don't need S&C just saying you can't expect them to turn chicken s**t into chicken salad.
  12. '15 UT LB Gabriel Sewell (Verbal to Nevada)

It's hard to find a LB with good coverage skills coming out of HS. Worth trading a few inches of height for IMO.
  13. Nelson Spruce (O/U thread)

Over. Until proven otherwise our crop of receivers includes Spruce and a bunch of nobodies. He'll see the ball go his way more often than not.
  14. The tight ends (O/U thread)

Over. Shouldn't be that hard even with a weak TE group.
  15. The offense (O/U thread)

Under. Just don't see how we have enough play makers to significantly improve on last year's ppg.
  16. Michael Adkins (O/U thread)

Over. I think Adkins will be the bulk of our offense for the first half of next season.
