  1. The Basketball Tournament 2016 (Final- Tuesday, 5pm, ESPN)

I hope Roby is ready, I anticipate this will be a high scoring game, and Buffs need to be ready. They have made it this far, why not win the whole thing? Overseas Elite will be heavily favored, but why not Team Colorado?
  2. Spencer Dinwiddie - NBA PG (BKN Nets)

Great to hear for Dinwiddie, he deserves a new shot with a new team. I think he can be a very successful NBA PG if he continues to improve his shot.
  3. Tory Miller going to Italy for Athletes In Action

Good for him, it definitely has helped other players in the past. I think he can be a big difference maker this year if he can stay out of foul trouble
  4. Wayne Tinkle (OSU) extended through 2021-22

Might be a little early. Got the two best recruits because one was his son and the other was the other coaches son. Greatly benefited from having Payton II as the PG the last two years. He will be very hard to replace. Tinkle and Thompson are solid pieces, but what else?
  5. '16 TRNFR C Dominik Olejniczak (Verbal to Ole Miss)

We are due to beat Cal for a recruit in bball.
  6. Tad Boyle to Memphis? (Edit - No)

Memphis is a better bball job than CU because they have a much better recruiting hotbed in Tennessee and the surrounding area. They are definitely hurt by playing in a crappy conference, but they will pony up dollars for the rigth coach, and it seems Boyle has a low buyout, but I don't see...
  7. Arizona at CU Game Day Thread (#BlackOutZona)

We did beat Oregon who is ranked now but wasn't ranked when we played htem. We are much better team at home than teh road obviously, so I expect a close game, and I hope we can feed Scott early and get Tarc in foul trouble, that would really help open up the glass for us.
  8. USC and UCLA

We stand little chance against USC, and we struggle mightily against UCLA at their place historically, I don't see us winning either game and turnovers will probably be 20+/game. We would be lucky to get a win. I would be so happy to be proven wrong, but every time I watch our Buffs play on the...
  9. Colorado at Oregon Game Day Thread

We did beat #3 Arizona at Arizona in 2012-2013 season, that was a tougher game (and I still believe we won that game)
  10. Official Game Thread: Utah at Colorado

Just calculated it, Tad is 12-10 in games decided by 6 points or less since Dinwiddie went down.
  11. Official Buffs Dance Resume Thread

ASU doesn't score that well, but they do defend. We get them at home this year, right after games against Arizona and Utah on the road, so they might be beat up by them. That helps our RPI!
  12. PAC-12 2015/2016

Agreed, but I would say our offense was one of the worst in conference, and our defense, while not as good as the previous two years, keep us in some games.
  13. Jaron Hopkins leaving

Damn, that's too bad. I really liked Hopkins, and I believed he had tremendous potential if he could fix his dribbling issues and FT shooting, but alas, it is time to move on. We need some guys to move on in order to be successful for next year. I hope Boyle can get a grad transfer to...
  14. PAC-12 2015/2016

No way Utah is as good as last year, they are losing Delon Wright, who made them a lot better than they really were. They have some nice pieces, but not enough for a 5 seed. Also, I don't see AZ as good as last year either because they are losing their two best players in McConnell and...
  15. *** Official 2014 UW @ Colorado Basketball Game thread ***

Even without XJ, this is a very winnable game, Washington is mediocre on the road this year, and we are very good at home against mediocre and bad teams, so I would be surprised if we didn't win. The key to me is to get Upshaw into foul trouble for us to thrive in the paint. If we can do...
  16. We take you now (again) to Eugene OR

I don't think Oregon could really do much better than Altman. He is a good coach considering all the moving parts, transfers, JCs, crimes, etc. Oregon has all the fancy facilities in the world, but they don't care about basketball, even when they are good.
  17. Official Game Thread: Buffs at Utah (Wednesday, 7pm)

"Not a game, but we talking about practice!" Still impressive!! Maybe he should come in and should a few threes. We could definitely use a zone buster. Great news on Scott. I'm really looking forward to his matchup with the Austrian guy Poelt.
  18. Official Game Thread: Buffs at Utah (Wednesday, 7pm)

We beat Utah our first year in the Pac 12, and we haven't done it since. Going to be tough to beat them in Utah, but they aren't as good as their ranking. Booker is going to need to do something he has never done: play well on the road. That's the key IMO. Also, we need to take care of...
  19. 2014-15 Pac-12 Standings

How in the world is Utah number 10 in the country? They haven't beaten anyone to be worthy of that ranking IMO. THey already lost to SDSU and Kansas and barely beat Wichita state at home (who isn't nearly as good as last year), and they get a number 10 ranking. Utah is good no doubt...
  20. Can Tad get this thing turned around?

I think we can make the NIT, but we definitely need some more sophs to play better. Also, Boyle needs to re-evaluate his assistant coaches after this disappointing season, and he MUST decided to bring in a offensive specialist that specializes in X&Os. That's Boyle's weakness, and we need...
