We’re getting ****ed over. This is how CFB ends.

Probably part of how we got here is teams doing their own scheduling and some putting three TV unfriendly body bag games at the front of the season. A model where someone else controls the scheduling could be good. Someone having to open their season with a rivalry game will be unhappy.

Karl Dorell. There is a pattern. So sure. It could be that he doesnt sign but rather someone higher up than him does. I had a boss who used to fight with legal all the time because their mistakes (things they missed) obligated us to things in contracts. My boss wasnt allowed to sign. He...

RG is a lawyer? CU employs many. Im pretty sure this all only passed across his desk and he forwarded it.

AND you guys will love the fact that Utah apparently refused to sign the 99 year requirement while CU did.

Agreed. But its already too late now. Were three fourths of the way to cementing who the haves are and culling the have nots. We have an NCAA that lacks the actual legal authority to govern anymore and politicians and political forces, all from the Haves side of the ledger, that have NO...

NIL: How Does it Work? (Plus transfer rules)

Its nice to have coach Prime but what about after that? The playing field is shifting and CU is hardly the rich school with spendy alums

Who doesnt like a rigged system? I wouldnt be surprised if its 9 to 10 teams from the B1G and SEC every year and 4 or 5 spots for everyone else

They’d need a Sherman Anti Trust exemption for that. Instead they keep losing in court because they are anti competition.

ESPN has a 24 hour hole to fill. And they added multiple channels which requires more inventory. All of that was predicated on 110 million households pitching in $5 a month to cover the cost. Well. Now were down about 60 million today, ESPN jacked up the prices-a short term fix, yet its...

I agree with all of that. A few big regional rivalry games tend to get watched regardless of record. The reason the SEC and B1G keep expanding is to manufacture matchups in order to entice TV to give them bigger piles of money. TV is already on their way to leaving people and regions behind...

👀 They get tossed aside at the end of the contract because of a lack of value and or because the two parties couldnt come to terms. The parties can sue each other if the terms of the contract were not met. Suing for not being renewed likely goes nowhere in court. Or did you mean something...

“If audience doesnt tune in TV doesnt pay.“ —The Pac12 The NFL accounts for 90% of the 100 top rated TV events. They deserve the money. College football accounted for five. College football has too much mediocre inventory. once the contract is up what are those schools gonna sue for?

Pac-12 hires MGM's George Kliavkoff to replace Larry Scott as commissioner

He was dead man walking once the Presidents rejected the ESPN Fox deal and teams started leaving. The conference just unraveled. Years of poor leadership on the Presidents side and Larry Scott side led to the implosion.

64 teams is too much. To the TV execs its laughable because they dont want to pay Vanderbilt millions for NOTHING in return. Nothing. TV wants a conference of ONLY bluebloods so as to insure there is a marquee matchup every weekend and possibly multiple each day. Because they make their...
