CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

And have a larger market (Denver vs Boulder) to source from. The distance seems small, but for many in CO is a BFD.

CU has rejoined the Big 12 and broken college football - talking out asses continues

I'm with Yak. A 50k sold out stadium is better than a 65k stadium with empty seats. I've been at most CU games for 10 years now, under four coaches. I think we had two sellouts in 2016 -- DS is the only coach who led CU fans to come to the games. Show we can sustain it without him. Investing...

    CU WBB Rankings/NET/Bracketology Catch-All

I'm really excited about the success CU women's hoops is having at point where I also perceive interest in women's sports, and NCAAW hoops specifically, at an all time high. This is great for CU, and I'm really happy for the team.

Tad Boyle is the Greatest Coach in CU Men’s Basketball History

noting the title and clicking on this thread to read post after post about how he's washed up and hit his ceiling years ago is somewhat amusing. where I'm legit confused is that I perceive CU's MBB recruiting to be the highest it's been in the 10 years I've been following the team, and it's not...

Tad Boyle is the Greatest Coach in CU Men’s Basketball History

I have no issues with the EC, and didn't say I did. I was just answering Yak's question. Disagree on crowds. 11k arena (normal for a flagship program) and we haven't sold out a game since Arizona in 2022. Crowds of 6-8k are normal, in the Boulder - Denver metro area.

They got a locker room renovation and a new practice court, but the most important facility, the CUEC, is 44 years old.

Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

interesting observation -- not unusual for you to give me a new perspective to consider. I will note, without snark, that in spoken communications, I generally favor being less precise, but it's more out of a concern of being accurate. When speaking, I'm generally communicating more rapidly...

me too. I was telling friends and family at the start of the year I thought this team would contend for the Pac 12 and win two or more (NCAA) tourney games clearly, I know very little about basketball.

Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

Where Aviator and I are differing is on a linguistic vs a scientific definition of the term. He's correct that in everyday speech that hitting the target is required to be precise. But in physics, the definition of precision is independent of accuracy. This is a frequent problem in our language...

Which Big 12 member is the team you most want to beat once we join?

Saying π ~= 3.14 is accurate, and more precise than 3, but less precise than 3.14159. The question of whether or not 3.14 is "sufficient" comes down to how many significant digits the other measurements have, in this case the radius. If you measure the radius to three or less significant...
