What the Big 12 Means To Hoops

Not sure I buy this, I’m as big of Tad supporter as there is but Sander’s national recruiting and Tad national recruiting are two completely different things. Sanders is a once in a generation recruiting/personality anomaly. HS kids care about having their family and friends see them in person...

'17 CO SG Justinian Jessup (Verbal to Boise State)

I watched the Oregon/Boise St. game tonight and saw Jessup for the first time. I have a lot of takeaways, but the biggest is that he's in a perfect system at Boise for the player he is. He's a great shooter, knows where to be on offense and he's clearly a trusted decision maker as he's a...

You can't really hope that siewart and tory are the starting front court?

MBB Game Thread: Buffs vs. The Beavs

raw plus minus is the worst stat to measure individuals in all of basketball (raw points per game is a better stat). If you put me on the court with 4 first team all americans I'd have an amazing plus minus. Plus minus is much better if you look at it in the form of 5 man units. There has...

Some takeaways from CU's loss to USC

King in transition situations as the ball handler has a 46% TO rate which is 1/3 of his transition possessions. So...that's not great.

Official MBB Game Thread: Buffs at AFA, Mon 7pm

come on @Buffnik and @Darth Snow - this adds up perfectly. this is a Tad "you practice/you play" move. you teach a frosh a lesson in a non-conf game where he could have contributed and you still win....

Pac 12 MBB Tournament March 8-11 in Las Vegas

FWIW I was at a corporate event at the T-Mobile center back in July, it's an awesome facility. I was sad to see it leave the MGM as it was nice to have everything under one roof. That being said the entrance to the T-Mobile is just steps outside of the Monte Carlo and a very short walk from...

Dissapointed in several members of the Mens BBall team

I clicked on this and expected that I'd missed some headline about some CU players getting arrested for assault/DUI. If this is a "problem" I think we're going to be ok. I like "problems" that entail student athletes cheering on other student athletes in "rivalry games."

I've never heard J40 compared to Duncan, that's really an acute observation.

2016 Basketball Attrition Thread (was Fletch and Guzo leaving)

if that was the case your boy would have been run out of here 2 year ago. careful what you "believe"

Ricardo Patton at DU as an assistant.

as he should have, he put in more effort that CU put in him. when you make a coach coach out the last year of his contract with no intention of extending you get what you deserve. that was 100% a cheap-skate move, RP deserved better, firing him would have been infinitely more commendable than...

Tad Boyle to Memphis? (Edit - No)

would Tad leave for an equal job for more money? I don't think so. would he leave for a better job for more money? that's a different story IMO.

Tad Boyle to Memphis? (Edit - No)

I would think so too, but some of the small stuff that didn't cost a ton of $$ that MB did, RG quit. The Vegas trip being 1 big thing and little things like pizza at games for the student section. It's affected student attendance, we can argue that the students shouldn't need to be bribed to...

Tad Boyle to Memphis? (Edit - No)

MB's opinion of the hoops program ≠ RG's opinion of the hoops program. Does RG support it sure, but he also understands that fixing fball is the priority and the money and resources payoff a lot more in fball than hoops ever will.

Tad Boyle to Memphis? (Edit - No)

First off, do I think this rumor is true? - no. Do I think that for the right job that paid more would he leave? - yes. Everybody here is entirely overrating the CU job, underrating the Memphis job and undervaluing MONEY. 1) CU job - go to Barzil and read that thread....I get his statements...

Tad Boyle to Memphis? (Edit - No)

this big raise was the contract he signed in 2013, that has been subsequently renewed/extended by a year ever since. this is the language is that contract. The contract includes buyout clauses that would require Boyle to pay $750,000 to CU if he leaves before April 30, 2014 and $500,000 if he...

    2016 BBall Transfers Thread

He had an offensive rating against Tier A&B schools of 125.5 which was higher than his overall season ORTG (116.4). If we use your logic..... his stats would be better playing against better competition all of the time.
