Perri began his college career as a Linebacker at San Jose State in 2005. He then played a year at Laney C.C., where he converted to the defensive line. As a 2007 DL at Colorado who came in with 3 years to play 2, Perri saw limited action in 9 games and finished the season with 7 tackles. Following an off-field incident, Perri transferred to Stony Brook. After sitting out 2008 due to transfer rules, Perri was 2nd Team All-Big South in 2009.
 
That was a sad loss. After his fight he seemed to turn it around, and was lauded for his charity at the Bowl game. But then it went bad again. Unfortunate...
