'07 TNFR DE David Goldberg (Signed to Colorado - PWO)

Goldberg was an All-State linebacker in high school at the Colorado 3A level (Western Slope League). He was slated to be a preferred walk on at Penn State, but 3 knee surgeries kept him from participating. Since he never practiced at PSU, his NCAA "eligibility clock" never started. Goldberg transferred to CU in 2007 and redshirted during the '07 campaign. In 2008, Goldberg did not see any game action but dressed for most games as he practiced at the "Mike" inside linebacker position. In the spring of 2009, he changed positions to defensive end and then lettered during the 2009 season as he saw game action at his new position. For 2009 spring practices, Goldberg has once again changed positions. He is now working at the SAM outside linebacker position (which is primarily a rush DE when CU shows a 34 front).
I had a piranha named Goldberg when I was at CU.
