Okay, so I don't really know how to do this (first time, so maybe an admin can help me), but this guy didn't get much attention from any colleges so I thought I might be able to help him out.

Thanks for posting.
We just copy the format from other recruits and make them look somewhat similar. You did great.
We'll add the Scout, Rivals, ESPN, Maxpreps or any other profiles that can be found.

Does he have an interest in CU that you know of? Mention the buffs in an interview or take an unofficial visit, for example?

I don't think anybody paid much attention to him. His high school wasn't that great. He only has offers from DII-DII schools right now. I'm pretty sure he'd take a D-I offer, maybe even preferred walk on.

A preferred walk-on just means that the coaches have agreed to let you play, if you pay for school and all your expenses, and may consider you for a scholarship at some point. When you've earned it, so often after the first year of playing time (meaning he'd have to beat out the older guys to see the field.) It's possible, but a difficult road for many. Quentin Hildreth is one player who has been at CU for a year now as a preferred walk-on, still hoping that he'll show well enough to get a scholly sometime this year.

To get an offer (even a preferred walkon opportunity), he would need to put all the highlights on a CD, write up a bio sheet with his high school stats and any awards he got (all -league, offensive MVP for his school - whatever he's got) and send to the appropriate coach at every school he's interested in. So send to either the recruiting coordinator or the position coach for the spot he thinks he'd be best at in college. Then attend the schools' summer camps this year and try to get noticed by being the absolute fastest, hardest-working guy on the field every second of the camp.

Unfortunately, just posting the highlight here is only going to get him a few hits from diehard college football fans who will click anything. But he's got to get a CD to actual college coaches if he wants a look.

^^ Deefinately. He's got people helping him, and he does have offers, from DII and DIII schools only though.
