Sani is teammates with Kaiwi Crabb. He made a visit to CU on a mainland trip last summer. Sani is the defending state champion heavyweight wrestler in Hawaii. He's got the frame to put on weight as a DT, but is currently a DE/DT tweener who was athletic enough to even play some linebacker. Scouts have described him as having great hands and feet, and he was constantly in the backfield disrupting things at the All-Poly Camp last summer.

Sani and CU have had mutual interest for months, but his only reported offers are from Arizona, Washington and Hawaii. It appears that Arizona and Washington are both full on the defensive line for this class. Could Sani be bound for CU?

Sounds like a guy worth a shot. Coming over with a teammate makes the adjustment easier meaning he is more likely to stick and contribute earlier. I like wrestlers as DLmen for a number of reasons. One is that they tend to be a bit leaners than other guys of the same weight meaning that they can bulk up a bit quicker and still be athletic, they alse tend to have very good balance and feet and know how to use their hands in contact. They also tend to be very strong with good flexibility meaning that they seem to get hurt a lot less
